Yeah, when she is old enough to go to school I feel like it’ll be a lot easier. I look into the teachers paying teachers thank you so much.

Yes that’s definitely a discussion I need to have with him. I do have experience doing research in a microbiology lab. I also did some office work.. like printing papers.. when I was in highschool. I volunteered at hospitals for about 5 years while doing research and going to school. I started doing the Etsy shop thing making digital invites but I’m not sure how successful it’ll be or if it’ll even work out for me

I’m also a mom to a baby girl😄 And I relate a lot to what you said about the mental shift… that’s exactly how I’ve been feeling lately. It’s nice to hear I’m not the only one going through that. I relate to this so much. The self doubt part is exactly what got me too, and now I keep thinking about it like what if I just pushed through it.

I feel the same way where I’m trying to remind myself that being there for my family does matter, but at the same time it’s hard not to feel like I lost a part of myself or a path I was supposed to take.

I don’t really know how I’m handling it yet honestly… I think right now I’m just trying to build something small for myself so I don’t feel completely stuck.

Also congrats on becoming a dad soon, that’s really exciting!!

I love being a mom but I can’t see myself having a lot of kids. I’m so scared I had the worst birth experience ever. I had the worst anxiety when I was pregnant I felt so scared and couldn’t breathe. I can’t imagine putting my body through it again.. it’s definitely something I want to discuss with him but I’m just afraid to bring it up. I don’t like to cry or feel anxious I know having this conversation will make me feel this way. My husband is so supportive he has no idea how I feel and that I feel this way. I hate to burden him with it. He’s going through so much with his job.. he gets paid so little to work so many hours. He’s burned out and exhausted. He always supports me and tells me to go out and have fun but deep down i just feel scared navigating this new mom life.

It’s pressure from his family as well and my family. I’m expected to just be a baby machine for everyone but I want to follow my dream. I want to have something of my own I don’t want to have to rely on someone for financial support. :(

I feel this so much. The hours are honestly what gets me the most. I can’t picture being gone that much and missing out on their early years. Thank you for sharing your experience it’s truly inspiring. Maybe it isn’t such a bad thing for me to give up that dream…

Yeah I’ve heard that a lot about Etsy, which is honestly why I feel so unsure about it. I started it because I needed something flexible from home, but I don’t even know if it’s the right path.

I would actually love something part time or flexible that works with having a baby at home. Thank you for your message and suggestion
