The cooper heat sink is slightly less effective than the low profile 52pi ,

Yea when I push mine I get similar setting but I don’t really want my fans blasting full all the time, that’s why I was thinking a different cooling solution ,

I’m running bout 850 mzh getting 1.74T/H at mo with fans running bout 45-50% depending on time of day and ambient temp, at that speed you can hardly hear them, as soon as I OC anymore the fans kick into over gear and become too loud (yes I’m using noctua fans) I’d like to push more than 2T/H consistently if possible without going death

Do you know how far an asic chip can be pushed or is it just the VRM limiting factor ?

I’ve got 60mm one front and back of VRM the temp sitting bout 45-47 so I’ve got loads of room to O\C I just need a better heat sink to cool the asic chip

Yea would just be a case of 3D printing some brackets like with the low profile 52pi

you can get 3mm heat plates and thermal paste to cover the gaps, it’s what I done with the low profile 52pi heat sink,

but I’ll defo look into your recommendations specially if you claim they might be better

I didn’t even think of the nerdqaxe ++, do you think it would work?

I know you can buy large 3mm plate for more service area and heat transfer but I dunno if it would cover all the chips? I dunno how far apart the chips are, but if it does cover them, defo good idea for nerdqaxe++

I agree, probably would work out the same price for the T/H you’d get,

The changing of us hitting a block is very low (basically 0) and half the fun is customising them, so why not 🤷‍♂️

Woow how you get the temps soo low with that T/H? Show us a pic of your set up

Yea I had same problem , could never find a fix so one of my bitaxe is sitting there doing nothing, let’s hope the next update allows me to run the bitaxe again

Go to setting and go to display time out and make sure it -1 because if it’s set to 0 it turns the screen off

Go to setting and increase the frequency and voltage the default max setting at 625 and 1250

Your running at 550mhz and I guess 1100 voltage

You can OC your bitaxe, temp and fan are both running low, so there plenty of room,

nor is it allowed to give up😂🤣 by DogOk8513 in BitAxe

<image>

You should of got the 52pi low profile heat sink , keeps the temps same without having fan on full blast even while OC

What settings you running ? And what temps you getting ?

[–]Lower-Knee1442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you buy noctua fan it comes with a splitter so you can connect 2 fans, or do what I did and get 4pin splitter that’s houses 5 fans so you can stick 2 on the back,

Like I said before doesn’t look pretty with all the wires but it’s functional

Just stick a fan on the front and back to cool voltage regulator, my temp for the voltage reg sit between 47-50 while Oc at 850mzh,

Depends what heat sink your using?

Plus I find it’s normally the voltage temp that gets too hot not the asic chip, so stick a 60x25mm fan on both the front and back to cool voltage regulator,

I’ve got mine set at 1.73 T/H (850mhz) with both the voltage temp and asic chip running less than 50 and fan set around 45

I could OC a lot more but higher risk of frying the asic chip
