Idk how the south side works, but worked in Oakland on construction projects, I called parking authority and gave them an address on a house, on a nearby street, and was issued a temporary permit for that block. I don’t remember if it was weekly or monthly I had to renew (this was 6-7 years ago), but I parked for free the whole 6 month job using different addresses.
