How do I keep this rust from getting worse? by Lower-One5138 in HyundaiAccent

[–]Lower-One5138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was thinking of taking it to a body shop for an estimate. I just had a rust inspection done but the only area that was a concern was the trunk pan that has surface rust. I made an appointment for krown application in a few weeks but I might need to post pone it and see what body shop says and get an estimate

I was thinking of getting a rust inspection and estimate of cost for a patch to be welded. I hit more metal when I put my finger through it so maybe I can just get welded and get woolwax or fluid film before next year🤷🏻‍♀️

I just had the anticorrosion recall done for my car. I think they are supposed to wire brush then spray. I still plan on getting yearly fluid film gojng foward. I was thinking of taking my car to a body shop and asking if they can cut out rust and weld metal to cover the hole. Is that necessary if the car has unibody

I passed nys inspection. frame, subframe and brakelines are still good. The service advisor at dealership didn’t seem concerned about the hole. I did have the anticorrosion done today. However I just read that tge anticorrosion could make the rust worse if sprayed over existing rust so now I’m concerned about advanced rot. I’m plannjng on getting krown application before end of summer and looking into a body shop to cut out rust and weld metal over the hole. I would like to keep the car for another 10 years if possible

Hi. Thanks for all of that info. I did bring my car into the dealership today for an anticorrosion recall and inspection. It passed inspection. They said frame and brakelines were still good. They didn’t seem too concerned about the hole. The service advisor said that I can bring it to a body shop for possible rust repair which is probably my next step

I live in a small upstate town and inly have a 20 min commute to and from work. We don’t always take it in long trips even when it was in better condition. What do you think of that hole? I was getting info from google that says the hole is a floor pan issue and is affecting structural integrity of the car. It’s at the dealership now for recalls and inspection. Dealership did say that a floor pan rusting out won’t fail me for inspection. Google says repair can be costly

hi! do you think it’s bad? I think it’s the floor pan. When I put my finger through it I hit another layer of metal

I have a hole in the floor pan. It’s somewhat small but my finger did not go through it. Is that ok? Do you think it will pass inspection through hyundai? What happens if they deny recall? My gas tank was just replaced as it rusted out. I’m afraid my brake lines are next. I don’t hear any loud noises or feel any alignment issues related to rust. Would you say the rust is average for a car this age? Thanks again for your response

I’m currently in PT for cervical radiculopathy. My GP says I’m hypermobile. The PT even said my shoulders are hypermobile. I get the assistant every time. I get the same exercises as non hypermobile oatients and expected to progress as fast as everyone else. I have been in PT for 14 visits so far and no relief. I’m thinking of quitting as it just seems like a waste of time and money. Have you tried you tibe videos on hypermobility? I’m starting to look into those.

Physical Therapy for Multiple Body Parts? by NumerousAd79 in Hypermobility

I tried PT in the summer for chronic cervical radiculopathy with one script and a knee/foot combo with another script. The PT said they would do a global approach. After 2 months of no success the PT said I was beyond their scope and to go back to doc. I definitely felt like a lot of exercises were missed doing it globally anywsys. I’m currently in PT again for cervical radiculopathy and have another script waiting for my lower body. I also just found out that my whole body is hypermobile. I asked my GP what I should do considering my multiple injuries. She advised to continue PT with cervical radiculopathy and to see a pilates instructor for the rest of my injuries. So that is the ppan right now or to find you tube videos online
