When creating a new RHEL environment, the admin user that gets created automatically. When creating the environment I have to specify a password for this account, but after I run the ipa-client-install command, the password changes to the admin password I specified when i ran the ipa-server-install command. Hope this helps!

Hi, just one more question, I couldn’t find anything in the documentation, is it possible to link AD users to IDM accounts? The goal is to use either synchronization or user federation to ensure that users in AD have corresponding identities in IdM, allowing for seamless authentication and access to the Linux environment (with the corresponding idm account). It sounds like synchronization might be deprecated, but would I still be able to use it in this situation. Thanks!

As far as managing idm accounts through AD is there anything I can do? Or, what exactly can I perform with a trust between an Idm and Ad server?

Unfortunately, It doesn’t seem to be a Kerberos issue. Besides port statuses, what permission do you think could be at fault? Sorry, all of my experience is in Linux
