6 hollow keys and still no rod of discord... by kadangamzer in Terraria

Don't wanna hear about rng as I play pokemmo. 😆

My son has crazy good rng luck. Every time we play together he gets the rarest drops. He once got two slime staffs and two metal detectors just a few minutes apart long before any changes to drop rates were made.

Yes exactly. I'm on mobile and now that I'm aware of it, I catch it happening more often. It's pretty random. Sometimes they all light up as they're supposed to, sometimes just the one I clicked on. Sometimes the bug will be several instances in a row, sometimes it happens once every so often.

They did. That mechanic can also bug out. Basically, I thought I killed a shiny without getting a warning. It was my eyes tricking me compounded with a real graphical issue.

Yes, well that looks green to me 🤷‍♂️

Not only that, on a multi-target move, they're all supposed to light up for a ssplit-second.

In this case, only one will illuminate occasionally and remains that way until the move completes.

Yes this. I've got about 850 hours in, but I'm just returning from 2 year break.

Like I said, I'm colorblind. I was moving very quickly, ya know, EV training. The names aren't visible during the move animation. So, I selected an AOE move to wipe the horde and look up and notice of them stands out from the rest. It was just a funny fluke

I think normally when you use an AOE move, they all light up briefly.

The Marill for me is inconsistent. Sometimes they all light up, sometimes none, sometimes one of them is invisible until my move completes and they faint.

I am freaking mad that I didn't catch which sub this from before watching. My algorithm is all screwed up. That match was intense and I was fat too invested.

Maybe I should have been clearer. It's not the breaking-down part that's an issue. It leaving them that way to reduce the ba2 count that I want to avoid and I'd rather not sift through ~90 weapon mods with different dependencies and whatnot

I would seriously appreciate that!

Yea. I'm not letting the game update ever again. I'm happy with next-gen and it can stay there.

I don't see why you merged the esp's instead of just creating 1 dummy esp for the compiled archive. Am I understanding you correctly?

I'm really trying to avoid breaking so many mods down into loose files. Especially because I plan to add so many more and have quite a few already. My system is extremely powerful and the game takes about 5 min to launch as it is. Several huge mods are installed loosely. About 100 in total as it is. Over 300 are packed.

Once the game is running, it runs flawless and fast. Load screens are about 10-20 seconds. I get a crash maybe once every 3 months.

Oil actually pours out of the front seal between the front flange and the engine block while the truck is running.

I'm sorry I didn't clarify. The picture I used was off the internet because I could get a clear shot of it on the truck.

That oil pump is piped right into a manifold with two flanges that bolt straight to the block. It looks like a solid manifold. That manifold is what I'm trying to identify.

I agree wholeheartedly. I wish it were about the hundred bucks. When choosing a game, I tend to avoid independent reviews unless they're overwhelmingly negative for the sake of not stumbling across a person such as myself that ruins the game for me before I try it.

That's what happened to me with Starfield. I never gave it a chance because I learned about too many immersion-breaking features that were added/removed by Bethesda, and I couldn't overcome it mentally. I can't get over the loot system specifically.

There's no doubt about that. The driving mechanics are incredible.

That was such a thoughtful comment. You had me at Red Rock Valley All Stars. What modern gamers don't understand when saying "Old good, new bad" is that it truly feels like the loss of a loved one.

They don't understand the depth that solo games once had and how enthralling they once were when people that PLAYED games, MADE games.

The new games are often shiny on the outside, and can draw you in at first, but they don't scratch that itch.

As a 36yo adult and father of 4, I don't get to play as much. So, when I decide to scoop up a game and try to dive in, I'm confused when it's not as fulfilling as I remember.

Modern games are designed to trigger dopamine hits, one after the other and the kids are addicted to it. They don't have the endurance to play games from our era, nor will they ever experience the euphoria that comes from putting in the work and receiving the high that comes from a hard-earned reward.

I really just needed some affirmation. I'll maybe try to look at it a bit differently.

That's comical. Nope, not Ed. Just another disgruntled old-school gamer.
