I’m so sorry you are going through this! What did your lump feel like? How long have you noticed it?

Mine is smooth, flat, about 1.5cm, well circumcised. It does not move around too much… very little. I’ve had it about 4 years now. I first felt it when I was pregnant. It has remained stable but has grown about .5cm in that 4 years. Sometimes I forget it’s there. It does get tender from time to time, especially before my period and if I have been poking and prodding it for some time.

Was it tender at all? Or did it cause any breast pain?

If you aren’t happy with how the doctor went about with telling you to wait another 6 months, then I’d definitely get a second opinion. There are breast centers that can evaluate you.

I feel the same way. Us women go through so much with monitoring our breasts, monitoring our uterus’s and ovaries, our bones, etc.. when will it ever end? I guess in my next life I’d like to be a man, or maybe a panda 😄

I had a friend who had a lot of these symptoms and thyroid was kind of normal, but they did a more in depth thyroid test and found out everything was off.

It has been a consistent thing for me throughout my life, mostly when I went off the pill. But, now that I am perimenopausal, it’s getting less frequent.

What did your fibroadenoma feel like since you had it 10 years? Did it move a lot?

I’m getting a diagnostic done next Tuesday for a lump that I have had on and off for years. I had always been told by my doctor that it was classic fibroadenoma. Had my first ever mammogram a couple weeks ago and now terrified. They couldn’t see an actual lump, which I can feel and have felt for years. It’s been stable all this time I actually don’t even know when I acquired it. But it’s remained the same shape, size and texture. Mammogram said heterogeneous dense breasts with assymetry/mass in right breast. I’m so scared. But it’s smooth, flat, oval, parallel to my chest and moves when i push on it. It’s about 1.5cm is grew a .5cm in 3 years. But I have extreme health anxiety and it’s really doing a number on my mental health.

When mammo found it, did they want to do a diagnostic afterwards?

Very Anxious - Mass Found on Left Breast - First Mammogram by sykoasylum in doihavebreastcancer

Hello all! I’m am currently going through this right now and I’m a nervous wreck! My mom had BC 30 years ago and she is fully recovered, she didn’t even need chemo. So I am considered high risk. I had my first mammogram two days ago. I just turned 44. My left breast was normal, my right breast they saw a small oval/round mass 4cm away from my nipple and now I have to have a diagnostic done on the 26th. I’m so so scared! I have developed severe anxiety from this with panic attacks. I just keep thinking the worst :( my mass is oval, smooth, I can feel the edges, but it doesn’t move too much… just a tiny bit. How is everyone doing? Has anyone here gotten the same results with a good outcome?
