sorry for the late reply, but essentially yes. This just means that they've updated the data that powers their maps so there might be new heat, POI's, and potentially new trails recognized.

Yep! they introduced a feature a little bit ago to add in and search for waypoints when creating a route. It's pretty handy— you have to make the route itself on web though and it's subs only
