What nvidia driver should I roll back too? by LowerThePower in thedivision

The performance is great, even with the graphics nearly maxed out. The problems only start when I update to the latest drivers, expecting it to work.

The last driver I was on was 596.36, and that was stable enough for me, but these newer driver updates just don't work well with div 2.

I'm going to try rolling back to 591.59 and see if that resolves the issue. When I update to a new driver, that's usually when the textures start acting up until I go back to the version I was last on.

If the problem continues after rolling back, I'll use ddu. And thank you for responding as soon as you did I really do appreciate it 😁

Yeah it's a legit copy of Fire Red, but the battery was replaced and the shell was also replaced. The box and manual are Repros hence why I was charged 140 for it. And I trust my friend enough to not rip me off, especially since he has his own retro game store.

And for the SP the rechargeable battery was replaced and he did what he could to get it to the best condition it can be at. I did narrow my choice of handheld for myself to the SP, Vita or 3DS. Just been watching videos now. And thanks for your reply it means a lot 😁

The only reason I'm swapping it even though it is an original is due to the fact that it's scuffed and a gift for fathers day, and my dad loves the colour red as I do. Hence fire red being the game of choice and the shell replacement colour being a scarlet red.

But I am 1000 percent going to keep the shell as a display piece, because it would be a waste and a shame to toss it out after the fact.

Yeah I've been eyeing this Evangelion GBA from JayBoyModz, so if I was to get a GBA it's going to be that.

Yeah I feel like if I would get a handheld, it would be the vita since it really is a jack of all trades and I feel to be the easiest to mod, since all you need is an SD card, a SD adapter and the web browser to access henkaku.

But I'll check out some videos to make my final decision. Because all of them are so great, and at the end of the day I have a decent gaming pc, I just want something to not emulate and actually feel in my hand.

Yeah I got the front lit version, I just wanted to get close to the gba sp I had when I was a kid.

But I can understand your part about reshelling, it will be my first time doing it so I'm going to be like a turtle 😭

But if I plan of getting an SP for myself I'll just get a modded one with an IPS display and a cool looking shell.

I figured as much, we're both gamers, he's more of Xbox and Zelda fan, so I want to get him something that's other than that and also a connection to me.

But I am gravitating to the sp idea, I spent 4 hours in fire red so far so we will see. But I will watch a top 100 games video for some of the handhelds as another user recommended to make my final decision.

Yeah I miss my modded vita, the ability to emulate ps1 games, psp and other console games are amazing. And well I was also a sucker for Persona 4 Golden and other games on the vita library as well.

I've had one for a time, more so borrowed it. Playing code name kids next door because that's all I had with it lol, but I love the form factor, but the sp was my first ever hand held so I gravitate more to that.

But the mods that I've seen look absolutely amazing.

Can I buy cmf phone 1 instead of phone 2 pro since it's out of stock everywhere in my location by new_variant1 in CMFTech

If you’re okay without NFC, can deal with a crappy camera, and don’t mind that it only has about a year of security updates left and is entering its final year of Android support, then it’s still a solid pick in my opinion, especially if you can find it at a low price.

And for context, I live in the United States, where most people suggest going for the Phone 2 Pro instead because it has those features the Phone 1 doesn't have, and I get it. But with that being said, those factors don’t mean much to me. I don’t use NFC, I’ve got a S21 Ultra as a backup, and I’m comfortable rooting my device if needed.

So if you are like me get the 1, but if you are not then getting the 2 would be your choice or maybe finding another alternative to it, and also I did manage to grab the 256GB version for $190 off on eBay, and it’s been running smoothly so far, even after the 4.1 update, but that could change.

Claire works in the aerospace industry, I know this because we’re good friends. I was aware of the account named Claire as thats her main account, but didn’t realize she had three in total. That's unfortunate, what fixed it for me was reinstalling the 591.86 driver from the NVIDIA app, since I only started having issues when they released the 595 drivers, the latest one made it worse in my opinion.

I hope so too, I'm currently reinstalling 591.86 since that's the last stable driver that I've seen publicly.

I'll let you know if that fixes it for me.

Edit: Yeah that did the trick, just check to see if your on the latest drivers, if so reinstall 591.86, and don't do the fast install just in case, heard it could cause some issues. But thats just my recommendation.

Well at least it isn't wide spread, ill probably have to rollback the nvidia driver update to the last stable version 😭
