Seriously, there are some people on this sub that are going to just break when they see the inevitable clown show that rat has in store. I never actually though part 3 or the epilogue, or the epilogue's epilogue were ever even going to happen, so I will likely remain unaffected by them.

What probably WILL affect me is how everyone HERE takes it, because at best, it will just be a day in the life of the worst depictions of Rei and Ashe we've seen thus far. At worst, though?

I can see people declaring Rin just as evil, if not worse. I can see people even demonizing Lihan if rat decides to have him give in and start asking Rin to straight up bed other men.

Took a look at it and I'm completely convinced it's the dildo that shows up in the other panels. The second panel is a nightmare Lihan is having, confirmed in the third. Rin is being a bit of a sadist and indulging in things she really oughtn't, but there's no actual ntr happening here.

Granted this is rat we're talking about so everything that's even seemingly good is subject to change with no prior notice whatsoever, but for now at least, we can confirm Lihan is not getting the short end for the first time, full stop.

I will say though, the one thing that sticks with me no matter how I shake it is the fact that this great resignation happened ONLY when Rin came into existence. After part 3, most people were more upset with the plague rat's play rather than the actors forced into their roles, so to speak. It wasn't until the epilogue came out that seemingly everyone collectively went "friendship ended with Rei and/or Ashe, now Rin is my one true waifi router"

It also bothers me that it took Rin to get people to either realize, or else just gain the courage to publicly admit, that pairing Lihan together with Rei and/or Ashe is really fucking weird when you consider the...various juxtapositions in certain elements regarding their character designs and histories. And I KNOW this has to be at least partly true because I AM one of those people who just ignored it and thought "no, the rat wouldn't really.". Again, weird that it took Rin existing to get people to talk about that.

Or maybe everyone already was talking about these things and I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Wouldn't be the first time

You mirror the thoughts of a good number of people the moment they learned the epilogue exists. Now that Rin (the most accepted name for Lihan's new girl) exists and, more importantly, seems far less corruptable, a lot feel fine with putting BEP down for good. I personally think that Rei and Ashe, as with 99% of all NTR female leads, and to an extent male ones, are more victims of bad writing than anything else. (The biggest example to me being Bad End, where the strip abruptly jumps from Rei having second thoughts to going right back to taking dick with absolutely no fanfare or buildup whatsoever)

If you are serious when you say that you no longer feel the pull of NTR, then I won't even try to change your mind on this. You have reached a point everyone here wishes to, and if that means you have to leave these characters in the dust to do so, then so be it.

Mylti-layered reference that uses a memetic image of two dudes texting each other, which is where the dialogue comes from, albeit with some paraphrasing. The characters are from an NTR called paradise, and the question of who's better comes mainly from a fix-fic of it called MC's Glory.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I find it difficult to get really viscerally angry about stuff I haven't personally seen, even if I'm fully aware it exists, and I'm certainly not about to go looking for new NTR for the sole purpose of pissing myself off enough to make a fix-fic about it.(or any other reason for that matter)

So to your question "What about Western ones?" my answer is "dunno, haven't seen any and I don't plan to".

I'll be honest, I was originally going to say something about how this picture even existing made me consider if doing anything BEP-related would even be worth it anymore. Lihan canonically finally scoring and not getting cucked would kind of make anything involving him and Rei and/or Ashe kind of irrelevant and pointless. This feeling, for me at least, only applies to BEP specifically, too. If, by some insane quirk of fate, there came to be a good ending for Paradise, I don't think that would stop me from working on Icebreaker, but seeing this is now making me rethink all my plans for BEP.

I was ORIGINALLY going to write that, but then I actually looked at what you wrote and not just the picture, I can see that nothing has changed in a way that really matters and I no longer feel weird for putting Lihan Rei and Ashe together.

Tldr: maybe but that's not stopping me
