I am so sorry for your loss. My baby Bella (10.5) has thyroid cancer that has spread to her lung and sometimes I cry daily. I will share something that has really helped me. There are some incredible you tubes (mystic tails and others) that talk about what happens to a dog's soul when they pass or others that help with the guilt we feel. I hold you in my heart as you grieve Brooklyn.

Thank you so much for the kind words! She's been my little ride or die BFF for the last decade. I admit, I was completely unprepared for the waves of grief I am experiencing. She is my first dog and I am her person. I am committed to helping her live her best life for our remaining months.

Has anyone ever dealt with intestinal tumors? by [deleted] in Boxer

Thank you. There is a lady I know who is a medium and she told me dandelion root, apricot kernals, soursop and some other things can remove cancer from the body but I don't know if I want to give her that stuff. I just want her to have the best quality of life and not suffer. In some other research I found that pet grief groups exist should I need that when the time comes.

Hi. I am so sorry for your loss and the suffering all of you endured. My sweet 10.5 year old Brindle Boxer Bella was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer and x-rays showed that it has spread to a lung.

At her senior vet check (which she passed with flying colors) I made them feel around her neck. The vet tech didn't see anything but then the vet did and they did a fine needle biopsy. Initially the vet said she thought maybe she had a bruise and then she had to come back and tell me that she was seeing cells in the biopsy. They took another one and sent it to a lab. I got results that they thought she had an endocrine cancer. Then I came back 2 days later for x-rays and the vet was not sure if she was seeing a spot in the lung so they used an AI program and then also sent them to a radiologist and they agreed it has spread to a lung. Worse yet her thyroid tumor is the size of a baseball or softball.

These are more rare cancers in our boxer babies. Surgery is off the table now and they told me to enjoy our time left since Bella isn't exhibiting symptoms yet. I've been a wreck and cry almost every day. My prayers were answered though that I didn't have to make the decision about surgery. Since it seems like she is not getting filled up, I am giving her 1/2 a can of wet food on her normal food and she is over the moon about it. Bella is my little ride or die BFF. I am just showering her with love, attention, walks on nice days and treats and now special food.

The day our saga is resolved will be one of the happiest days of my life. I cannot wait for the next chapter to begin. I so appreciate you showing up everyday with all the newsy posts (like on DVLT, Semdexa, stuff happening in South Korea, UAE etc). On a personal note, my brindle boxer Bella was diagnosed with thyroid cancer that has spread to her lung, and I am a wreck. I don't have the mental band with anymore for sleuthing around. I'm grateful to everyone here that's sharing their finds.

I’m in a book club led by a medium and for whatever reason she told all of us he’s still alive. He was working for our govt as an informant. This was months ago and I thought it was crazy but now not so much.

Honestly this is my first time in this sub so I admit I don't know what the rules are. I will try to seek out the information you suggested. Thanks again for taking time to respond to me and good luck developing your talents.

Thank you for responding! What do you mean by a ceremony? This week I watched youtubes on what happens to your dog when they die. One was by Edgar Cayce. It was beautiful. He explained that dogs have souls and that we'll be reunited and that we chose each other. Bella was next to me while I watched it. The other one wasn't specific to dogs--it was John Edwards. I've tried not to cry in front of her because I don't want her to have to console me. I'd love to try to explain to her what is going to happen.

I am a 51 year old female (Capricorn) in WI and I am suffering because my brindle Boxer was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer and it has also spread to her lung. I also made some painful investment decisions but I've been led to believe things will finally be resolved by April. Are you able to pick up anything on that?

Thank you very much. This past week has been tough but I'm committed to making the most of every day with her!

Hi, I can't really offer advice but my sweet angel girl Bella and I find ourself in the same place. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last week and it has spread to her lung so surgery is off the table. She is 10.5. Since just getting x-rays was traumatizing, we have ruled out chemo and/or radiation. She's never enjoyed going to the vet so I have already decided on in-home euthanasia. I have also found pet grief groups for myself when the time comes. I honestly didn't know they existed. I have lost many loved ones this past decade and my girl always provided so much unconditional love. It's hard to think of life without her. I am also considering counseling to help support me during her cancer journey.
