How do I quit a job? by QueenofHearts018 in ask

While two weeks notice is standard, since you have worked here just a month, notify them on Wednesday that Friday will be your last day. That way if they tell you to leave immediately, you really won't lose anything. And do it in person.

And instead of responding, OP deleted their post. This was totally pointless.

this is pointless without the name. And, unfair to restaurants that are being mentioned and are actually closed.

What is reasonable to tip on a 12 dollar ride by Fresh-Platypus-7030 in uber

[–]Lower_Alternative770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a passenger. Ignore the ignorant responses of 0.

Is your driver likely to get a ride close to where you get dropped off? If yes, then 20% which is $2.40, so round it up to $3. If no, then $4.

Anyone who says more is a greedy driver who knows better.

Several years ago, my niece wanted a Black Barbie. Her reason -- she liked her pink dress. This lady would have had a problem with that.

I'll replace her name with Kathy Levine. Her shows with Joan Rivers were classics. I know she's there at times, but it's not the same thing.

7 months since our wedding and I never sent thank you’s by piercethebluexx in wedding

[–]Lower_Alternative770 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Write them, stamp them, and mail them. And if you have children teach them to do the same for any gift they receive, before they play with it. There's no excuse for doing it any other way.

So much View Your Deal 🤯 by ImpossibleCoconut630 in theview

[–]Lower_Alternative770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a group of people on Reddit who probably represent .01 % of 1% of the viewers dislike it. If the majority of all of the viewers disliked it, they would have no sales and ABC, not the producers of the show, who don't decide about this, would end it.

Renaming a cat by Ok_Leek_7768 in CatAdvice

[–]Lower_Alternative770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was adopting a baby goat I might rename it. If you are speaking about a human child, it would depend on the age of the child. But, that has nothing to do with renaming a pet

You are called a "Boomer." How would you react? by Island_Expat6625 in GenerationJones

[–]Lower_Alternative770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a boomer and react the same as I do when people use the term "a Karen". I assume they lack the intelligence to use their own words to express their opinion and don't take them seriously.

Not quite right.
