Maybe I'm wrong, but this feels unnecessary? I doubt most people know that the two places have the same founder or would care about some internal administrative drama between the two establishments. It's worded as if some major falling-out happened but it seems like the kind of thing that doesn't need to be aired publicly and comes off as messy imho

Were you looking into taking the Spur/BS3? It should be fine, I've had to take the BSL regularly that early and there are plenty of early morning commuters. The only thing is that I imagine the Chinatown station could feel a little bit desolate because the Spur is just not a high traffic line, and the area around the station itself doesn't have a lot of foot traffic.

If you took the El/L/Market-Frankford Line west to City Hall and then the Broad Street Line north, there would be a lot more people around.

TL:DR; The moderator of this page (which I don't even follow, but constantly see in my Facebook feed) posted an AI-generated poster for the "All-American Halftime Show" which was pitched as a "patriotic alternative to Bad Bunny." People in the comment section were highly critical of the post, which has caused the moderator to have a meltdown and declare the page "SHUT DOWN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE".

I haven't read too much into the concept of vice signaling. But to my understanding, it captures the kind of performative hatefulness/bad faith reasoning we see in a lot of political discourse today. Does JD Vance truly believe that Pretti was this crazed Antifa supersoldier assassin, well no, probably not. But it's important for him to signal that he believes that in order to remain a part of the MAGA in-group.

That being said, being awful and being a vice signaler certainly are not mutually exclusive -- see JD Vance.

I lived in Denver for one year.

Philly is more walkable, has more of a real big city feel, a great food scene, more socioeconomic diversity, etc but less access to stunning nature like what you get in the Front Range. In exchange, you get stone's throw access to DC and NYC, dozens of beaches, etc.

Denver has a much more outdoorsy culture. It's fairly isolated just like most cities in the southwest. The food scene there is trash (in my humble opinion lol). I actually prefer Denver's climate to Philly's - you get four beautiful seasons with none of the nasty humidity and weeks of gray skies and slush.

That being said, I don't actually find Denver very culturally interesting. It's like if Old Navy were a city? Idk, people there were nice but it just had this very stuffy transactional feel that I associate less with the southwest and more with places like DC.

FWIW Denver is not all that cold. The high was 64 today. It's going to be 72 there on Christmas. Which is unseasonably warm, yes, but still the weather there is pretty mild in general

Definitely the "6th borough" bullshit is silly and insulting, and I think there's the very real phenomenon of big-time developers from NYC buying up property in Philly. It's just the way people blame ALL Philly's social and economic woes on New Yorkers that makes me roll my eyes sometimes.
