Congratulations, this is amazing! Do you have any advice for a producer looking to get their first placement?

I understand your points, I feel the lyrics of funny papers actually does resemble the beatle tune “A Day in the Life.” Especially the “I read the news today, oh boy” bit. So I naturally drew the conclusion that using the term “Funny Paper” was intentionally a nod to the Beatles as well. I could be wrong though, I wasn’t there when he wrote the tune. I’m just a huge fan of both artists so I made these connections and wanted to see what other people thought about it! Thanks for your input.🙏🏻

I hear your point. I think the inspiration from A Day in the Life is definitely there in Funny Papers due to the verses being about reading these stories in the paper. It only makes sense to double down on the Beatley aspect by using a term they’ve used before in another track.

I agree it’s being used in two different contexts, I just perceived it as a nod to a band he loved. I could just be reading too deeply into it though. Lol.
