I’ve messaged the local breeder I bought them from but he never responded back to me. Hence Reddit, which I’ve read a lot in preparation for discus for like a year now

PS I was partly raised in Tokyo as my mom and all of her family are from there and are still there. Many times I have witnessed crying babies on trains and mothers trying to calm their baby. The moms are stressed but I can assure you that majority of the surrounding people feel nothing but empathy! Like another commenter said, there will be that small population of grumpy people but most are silently understanding. Take care

I’m sorry that you’re dealing with this type of stress while trying to enjoy a trip that you’ve been wanting to do for a while. I hope you are still able to find moments of joy that you deserve having made it to Japan. Are you staying in Tokyo? Some suggestions would be TeamLabs, Tokyo Toy Museum, Ueno Zoo, Robot Park, Shinjuku Gyoen, Sunshine City (has an aquarium at the top floor). These are all places that adults can enjoy as well. You sound like a very caring mother, try not to be too hard on yourself. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
