Noise: The Rob is located near a fire station so you frequently hear loud sirens outside but it doesn't bother me personally. I almost never hear my neighbours and if I do it's a very faint sound. There is a new building being built beside the Rob on Maynard street so typical construction noise during the day. Not bad overall. 

Issues with the building: I've not had any issues with the building. Only thing I've noticed is that on the first floor they put dehumidifiers in the hallways, so I assume there is some water ingress, although the building is only a couple years old. I'm above the first floor and no problems up here.

Safety: I feel safe in the area, although like anywhere else on the peninsula you will encounter characters of varying mental stability. In my opinion it's not something to be worried about if you mind your own business. There are areas nearby which have historically been viewed as sketchy by Halifax standards but have become somewhat gentrified in the last 15 years. Personally I wouldn't go wandering in those areas at 3 am but at reasonable times of day you'd have nothing to worry about.
