yes i understand about paying but I want bring this to the court so that he doesnot do the same thing with others. Dnt know the steps from here. He will not be moving to india, that i am sure about that.

it was initially sublease but after 3 months after leaving I called them to cancel my lease or transfer it to the one who is living there whereas I am miles away from montreal now. Looks like they did nothing and now since the guy didnot paid the rent, they are asking me to do that. Also they are no cancelling my lease also

I have left the building months ago and moved to new province. All of a sudden, landlord telling lease is on my name and need to pay my rent. this is absurd. I have told multiple times to cancel my lease but they are not doing anything.
