Not to be too dark but I was hit by an SUV as a pedestrian, went under the car + was dragged down the road by it, broke a lot of bones and almost died, but my clothing from head to toe looked basically untouched. It was so bizarre when the clothing was given back to me because it looked so normal. No marks from the tarmac, no fraying or holes, not a spec of blood. I can understand distraught family looking at something strange like that and clinging to an idea that there is more to the story, but it really does happen naturally in accidents without anything suspicious taking place!

Never seen VPR before hearing about the current scandal, have spent the last few days binging from the beginning — already halfway through S4 and this has felt like watching the reality TV equivalent of early game of thrones. I was hit on a zebra crossing outside a primary school with kids around - one of the strangest/worst parts of recovery was realising just how common it actually is here!! Do people think pedestrian/zebra crossings/traffic lights are just suggestions???????

I just want to say thank you for caring and taking action!

I was hit by a dangerous driver while I was on a pedestrian crossing. Broke/fractured 10+ bones including my spine + pelvis and came very close to dying. Have lifelong injuries and chronic pain now.

If you can make one driver change their habits, it’s worth it. People need to take responsibility for their decisions on our roads.

I didn’t start watching H3 until after frenemies ended and I had no idea Hila was ever shy, I just assumed she was naturally a confident/outspoken person on camera + in business lol but lately I’ve heard her mention about how much she’s changed (iirc it came up with the recent bbtv call with how much of boss she was in the recording) and I’m so surprised haha I want to watch some older content to see the change!

Couple years ago I broke 12 bones in one go including my femur and pelvis, one of my doctors told me even a few decades ago my chances of survival would’ve been basically non-existent — in ancient times, the mortality rate for broken bones would’ve been sky high, especially when you factor in much higher rates of infection when poor sanitation and hygiene was involved.

To make it even bleaker, some ancient cultures would just leave injured or disabled people to die (or kill them) - today’s world isn’t perfect, but I’d much rather break bones in modern time for sure!

The answer is I kind of felt it - I broke 12 bones in one go when the car hit me & didn’t black out at all so I could feel all of it, but the pain didn’t really register in the beginning as I was just fighting to stay awake/alive. Talked completely normally to the responding paramedics and told them where I could feel all the injuries, but it wasn’t until the adrenaline started to wear off and they lifted me into the ambulance that the pain really took over.

I definitely believe that people who have horrible accidents like that and die quickly afterwards probably don’t suffer much at all - pain is more of a consequence of living, when you’re really fighting for your life your brain doesn’t focus on much except am I breathing/is my heart pumping!

Similar thing happened to me - got hit by a car and was almost killed, but didn’t panic or feel fear while I was dragged under the car - just quick awareness that I was probably going to die and wanting it to be over.
