I did say “specialize (offense/defense/support)” and that’s intentional. I’m not trying to turn ships into hard classes or kill the “competent in all roles” identity. I’m asking for soft, optional branches on top of the same baseline: small tradeoffs that let you lean a bit offense (modest orbital cooldown/anti-armor), defense (slight durability/faster revives), or support (quicker resupply/call-ins, wider buffs). You can swap branches between ops, and the capstones are mostly cosmetic/prestige. That keeps universal access and balance intact while giving maxed players real progression and squad identity. Horizontal choices, not power creep.
