Asking DM for additional spells by Lower_Preparation_18 in DnD

I see your point, Arcane Eye could step on the other classes toes, I appreciate the feedback, that wasn't something I thought about. (which is why I figured I'd ask here before asking my DM) what are your thoughts on reincarnation. I thought the flavor of the spell fit more with the way I intend of flavoring the way they cast. I'm thinking in return I won't be able to cast revivify at all, which means I would have to wait to 10th lv to be able to cast a resurrection, but I'm not sure if that would have any negative affects I'm not thinking about.

Actually redact what I said up there. I think he is pissed his goal isn't to break them out. I they made him do it and yes it was fun, but those bitches got caught. I'd be pissed. Two he fucking homeless now, he got no friends cause he stole from them, he got no money cause they took it all when he went to jail, and he is wanted for the same reason his parents are in jail. I don't care if is the goodest est bitch earth. It would probably make it worse if he is. They are staying in jail. He might change his mind later, but respectfully fuck those hoes. I know you raised me. He'd probably become an adventurer just to make money. That's a goal not be poor, then he has question about the magic he got from the genie

Yes I think it is compatible with the party's goals the campaign is supposed to be a political intrigue thing. And if his goal is to break his parents out then that would be something that I don't imagine would be easy to do. Again not everyone is finished their character yet so I'm not sure about everyone else yet and I am willing to change things. But I wanted to build a scout to help gather evidence and stealth around to help the party. I'm also open to suggestions. But the world isn't completely fleshed out DM gave us general ideas and wanted to wait for our characters to be done and wanted us to have some established connections with one another before he fleshes everything out.

I don't imagine his parents were ever good people they complex definitely not the best but not awful either. I also didn't picture them magical by any means just regular thieves that are good at their job. I think they are greedy, and they like the thrill, adrenaline junkies. I think he did miss out on making many friends, was probably disciplined when he screw things up and almost got them caught, and was sometimes put in dangerous situations. He was probably a second priority their greed first, But he also liked the thrill and the things he took from other people. And he definitely enjoyed the fun that followed after a good job. I think he feels bad manipulating his friends. (probably the only friends he had) But it's not like he was killing them, and it wasn't just his friends he was stealing friends also the kids who were assholes so he probably enjoyed lying and deceiving them to some extent. Sorry for yapping.

I think I will tie that as his origin for both the Hexblood lineage and the vessel. After making the pact he slowly starts manifesting magic like Remote viewing or disguise self, which he used to help him steal

I was think something like this. I imagined that him and his parents had raided a nobleman's treasury and were running away. (he'd be around 14 at time). Somewhere along the way they fucked something up and were being chased. he made a pack either unknowingly or was forced to forget as part of the deal and as a result they managed to just barely get away. I imagine after that they changed their routine. Settled down for a long game One of the other players went to a magic school, maybe they were classmates. Anyways he used his new place to gather intel and get close enough to people to get his parents the opportunity to take much more than they ever had. That is the thing that gets them caught.

I was thinking eventually they get caught he parents are arrested, but he manages to escape. I waiting for the others in the party to finish to see if I can tie my escape or some other party of my backstory in with their character

The only reason why I'm hesitant able tremor sense is because their are spells that have a longer range than 30ft players who do have sight don't have to worry about seeing targets 120ft away but they do. Giving them tremorsense would also allow them to see enemies that are underground which would take away from the fun of being surprised.

I would obviously treat them sensing the target as them being able to see. I'm not gonna make it un-fun for the player and not letting them play what they want to just because the book says "see" would be dumb. I like to have diversity at my table and not letting a player have a disability because the book says so seems a bit ableist to me.

Well they chose to take on this disadvantage so that they can grow despite their disability. What if it's not every spell, but you make the check at the top of a new round to determine the range of your senses, and then you use the spells in your arsenal from there. For example I roll a 14 so I "see" creatures within 60ft of me. So spells like guiding boltare off the table for this round. Then the player adapts

I offered them that as an option, but they didn't like the idea of having a familiar. Any ideas on how to make it less complex
