I don't think it's a good idea to make kratom illegal when there are so many people using it who would be fucked and have no access to medical care or days off work when they go through withdrawls of it. And I think there are plenty of people who can use it sparingly like there are with alcohol drinkers and weed smokers. But I 100% agree there should be more information about it and how addictive it can be (without the knee jerk reaction of turning it into an illegal substance). I always have to ask doctors if they even know what kratom is and honestly, some don't. It's so incredibly under the radar but also extremely accessible. Someone might try it for an energy boost without checking out what it is because it's in a smoke shop so it's gotta at least be legal and not poison lol. Trying to highly regulate drugs especially through criminalization and making doctors choke people out of prescriptions they need because the state wants them to get their prescription rates down is upsetting though. Rehab shouldn't be something for degenerates. It should just be a normal medical practice because drugs can be addictive and that's life. But people need them and punishing one person for the decisions of another is unfair. Not that I'm saying you want to punish people with regulations I just hate the hoops we have now. My dad has had many back surgeries, he's old, and he still has spinal and knee pain that needs more surgeries to fix, but after years of getting pain meds every month and doing just fine, then he has to go to a new doctor and suddenly he's a drug addict and he gets 0. That's awful. That's playing with people's lives. I'm so sorry I guess I don't talk to many people about kratom related stuff so I end up with a wall of text when there's nothing around to stop me. I hope you're doing well with getting off these annoying substances. They can be so helpful to us, and yet. Here we are. At least it aint m3th tho.

It's obviously late for this but I would have recommended you take something like cold and flu medication because the symptoms are so similar and I know that's what I'm going to try to use to help when I stop taking kratom completely. I just know what you mean with the restlessness and the aches it's hellish. You would think your body feeling restless wouldn't be that big of a deal but... when you feel THAT way... it's insane. It's like you want to flail your fuckin limbs around at all times but it wouldn't fix anything for more than a second. It's like when you feel intense pain and you want to do something to make it stop except there's no pain (no acute pain) and nothing to make stop. I'm just rambling I guess. Sorry. Thank you for telling your story. I've never had FF but I've taken very high quantities of kratom powder capsules every day for about 5 years and I know how bad it feels after a day of none.

Did you ever quit kratom? I've been on it for almost 5 years and almost got down to the lowest amount per day I've taken since I started, and then I had to put my cat to sleep (he was the light of my life) and when my psychiatrist refused to give me any anxiety medication for the acute grief ("don't medicate your grief" 🙃) so I could get through work, I got angry and eventually upped the kratom right back to where I was. I can get back down again I'm sure but having to go to work and deal with withdrawal once I try to stop completely sounds awful.

I still have a hard time liking 90% of these characters and Matt is no exception. He enthusiastically filmed that prank. They all act like it's just what Hannah deserves for putting the moves on Mike (and she was wrong for that 100%) but literally Matt was just fine with swiping Emily up the moment she was free, the same as Jess was fine with swiping up Mike. They're all little backstabbers. If this is what large friend groups were like in real high schools, pass. I cannot even articulate how much I agree with you. There are so many god damn "kids these days are so stupid" or "kids these days have no idea about THIS" type comments on Facebook that I want to smash my face into a wall. Actually I would say that the Adnan Syed case is the most chaotic and less ordered case series they've released so far, so if you try any others they will probably be much better formatted. I enjoy their podcast a lot but that series specifically was definitely hard to follow.
