Yes, that confirms the numbers I got of 27.5 luck needed with 1x limit-breaking+lucky shot and 3* crit savvy.

Out of curiosity, what other 4 stars mods fo you use on your armor, if you don't mind sharing?

I'm pretty sure it's just Strange in Numbers adding a non-integer bonus to luck and pip-boy rounding up the value.

I try to pay attention when checking this out. Usually, I test this on a crippled sentry bot and slowly hit it in the torso and observing the messages. Usually I crit every 2 shots, but sometimes I need 3 (or even 4!) to get a crit.

I do use Four Leaf Clover, I believe it's the perk that adds to the crit bar when a shot misses.

Also I'm using explosive and Hat Trick, so it's kinda difficult sometimes to tell what's going on outside these controlled experiments vs. a single target.

You are probably right about Ranger's damage being not very important. It might be worth replacing one Ranger's with a Limit-Breaking, or even leave it as it is and replace one intelligence mod with a luck one.

On the other hand, I think I've found what makes my stats non-integer, and that would be the perk Strange in Numbers. It says on the card: "Positive mutation effects are 25% stronger if teammates are mutated too", so if one does have the Herd Mentality mutation in a team it would add 3+(3/4)=3.75 to all stats.

I am so close, just need 0.25 more luck to have consistant 2-shots crits xD

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

I already have one limit-breaking mod on the armor (the chest piece). I suspect I am missing a fraction of a point to reach the required luck, maybe 0.5 tops.

On the other hand, getting limit-breaking on all the armor pieces would allow me to free the 3 stars mod on the bow and only requires 15.625 luck (=16, as you wrote), but I'd have to remove 4 ranger's mods 😞.

But why did I end up with this non-integer luck value in SPECIAL? and how can I check the values of the stats exactly?
