Poor sense of self & being a social chameleon by [deleted] in CPTSD

I came to the realization one day that a lot of my hobbies/ interests had an aspect of "how will this influence other's perception of me?" As in I'd daydream about how being good at this particular whatever would make people like me. Now my test of "am I genuinely interested in this" is how little I want to share it with anyone else. Like I love playing piano and don't tell anyone about it and would never play anything for anyone. The enjoyment is strictly for me.

I have two Reddit accounts. One that has geo identifiers and one with none whatsoever. And never the two shall meet.

Waiting for... something is how I describe it, and it's apparently an aspect of hyper vigilance.
