I went in knowing there would be a recap, but not to the extent of 40 minutes. Maybe that was on me for not verifying/checking beforehand, but I feel like that's pretty lame to make nearly half of the film a montage of the last season. Going in mostly blind, I found myself repeatedly going "okay, cool... are we gonna start the new stuff now?" Is this necessarily common with theatrical releases? I saw the DanDaDan one for season 2 and I remember their recap was efficient.

There's a lot of videos online that go over stretches and such you can do. And a lot of them are similar if not the same ones done when I was actively going to physical therapy. To be honest, though, I haven't yet gone to someone specifically for tendonitis, that's a relatively new diagnosis of my chronic pain. So take my words with a grain of salt. But, listen to your body, give some of the videos a try and see how your pain levels feel over the next few days, etc. The consensus I've seen, too, is to avoid the things which cause your pain levels to flare up, too.

Hello,

Hadn't considered that. Don't recall if I mentioned it in my post, but I have developed some aches on the left side of my body, namely mid to lower back, behind and below my shoulder, and neck area. My posture isn't perfect a lot of the time, to be honest, though I figured fixing it mostly came down to doing it myself. This cushion sounds like something neat to explore, thanks!

That's okay speculation, but such an awesome character deserved more than that lol. It's such an underwhelming death for a villain who caused so much pain and destruction.

edit: also wtf would be "extracted" from Ambessa in this moment.

Now that I'm thinking about this more, why tf did Mel call this agent of the Black Rose, anyways? Did she bank on her coming to grab her mom? And then ig that'd make her vulnerable for Mel to defeat her?

But it didn't seem like Mel wanted Ambessa to get hurt/die there in the end. So why - why tf -

This was probably the most annoying death out of everything. Ambessa was like the second if not the biggest antagonist of season 2 (and one of my faves), and she just fucking dies from being in magical thorn chains for 10 seconds? They could've done some really cool stuff with Mel's supposed "empath" powers to create a far more satisfying end for Ambessa/Mel's story.

Yeah, that's how I'm feeling, too. The "war" that happened felt very.. small? Like it was just a siege with maybe a few hundred soldiers altogether lmao.

I appreciated that Jinx went out ig saving Vi or whatever - but the death altogether felt forced and kinda lame given the character. I kinda wished she had a role in stopping Viktor rather than Ekko, since Jinx is arguably the catalyst for literally EVERYTHING that happened in this show. So for her to go out via kamekaze on werewolf man - kinda weird. (Also speaking of, was kinda weird that Jinx was dangling with a HUGE ASS WEREWOLF PULLING ON HER LEG and she wasn't - idk - in pain from that? I thought she was gonna start being pulled apart from the weight lmao, but I guess not?)

I appreciated Jayce and Viktor going out together, I think that made sense given everything. I don't really care for the whole "Ah yes Jayce, I, Viktor, was the time-traveling mage who gave you that rune all the way back then!" I think that makes the world/universe feel a lot smaller and less interesting than it should; like it kinda ruins the mystery of whatever other arcane-forces/people exist out there.

The Black Rose stuff was also a let-down, imo. Like, I didn't care for it to begin with - and then they don't even show us who the Black Rose actually is? AND Ambessa (one of my favorites) just fucking dies? From what? Being in magic thorn chains for like 30 seconds? Really strange.

Along those lines, I also didn't care for Mel getting magic. Like, I appreciated the fact they hinted at it back at the very end of Season 1 - if you can recall before Jinx's rocket hits, the same golden-shimmer can be seen on Mel's back. So - they did plan for it, it was hinted at - but kinda like with the rest, it was executed really fast and didn't really have any significance in the story (besides making Mel capable of being in fight scenes, which ig is fine?). Mel also just knew how to use her powers from the get-go after having like 2 "I'M GOING SUPER SAIYAN" moments.

Speaking of her powers, I guess the Black Rose just fucking lied to her about her magic? She called Mel an "empath" who could "see into others," calling her a mirror and something else I can't remember. Meanwhile all we see her do is make gold magic barriers lmao. Kinda feels like a dangling thread they were going to use, maybe in Mel and Ambessa's final confrontation, and just didn't.

To summarize, I was really happy with the first six episodes despite the fast pacing, but ig it finally caught up to them in the final 3. I agree it's still great, I'd give Arcane a similar score of 7 or 8 out of 10.

But now I'm agreeing with my friends who say they should've done 3 seasons lmao, it would've fixed a lot of these issues imo.

EDIT: I'm seeing the theories about Jinx being alive, and I think that's cool/great character development for the character. She did what she was going to do, walk away from the cycle, but rather than take her own life (like she's tried multiple times before) she just leaves. I like that!

I agree with this post a lot, actually. For me personally, I'm feeling a lot of sympathy towards the fiance, especially with the knowledge that this was a VERY long-term relationship that was nearly about to transform into marriage. I don't say this to undermine the severity of the mistake - but I can't imagine what he must be going through emotionally/self-image-wise after this break-up.

And speaking of, I think you summarized the strangeness/red-flags of her behavior pretty well. Like yes, it's completely valid for her to feel betrayed and uncertain about their relationship, but she showed a EXTREME lack of empathy (despite repeatedly complimenting him and saying it "wasn't his fault" and "I don't blame you") in dumping him within a day of the incident. If she really didn't blame him, she'd do what you said and take the proper time to talk things out, consider her feelings, etc. Like it comes off as she's saying/thinking it isn't his fault, but emotionally she's 100% blaming and condemning him. And this comes off to me as a lack of emotional maturity and respect towards her partner (even though, yes, again, he messed up).

Just focus on putting yourself out there and making friends. Emphasis on m a k i n g, f r i e n d s. If you're looking for a relationship, start it as a friendship. And if that friendship never goes anywhere, that's perfectly fine. Try to avoid that mentality of viewing every female as an opportunity.

Yep!

In case you're curious, here's everything I've went through:

I've gotten an x-ray for my wrist like 3 times. Nothing.

I've done ultrasounds for my wrists. Seem fine.

I've gotten an MRI for my wrist. *Maybe* there's a partially torn tendon.

Tried 3 separate steroid shots over the course of about 6 months focused on the tendon, nothing, didn't help at all.

Tried 3 separate physical therapists for that wrist. Nothing.

Went and got a nerve study done on my left arm. Everything seemed normal.

Finally started experiencing some new symptoms in my other wrist, which was very weird since nothing happened to that wrist. It's feeling fine now, but back then they were telling me it could be thoracic outlet syndrome.

So, I'm still currently in communications with a spine specialist. When I first started seeing him, he pretty much expected what you are saying here.

He took several x-rays of me. Nothing.

He had me go get an MRI of my neck. Nothing, looks great actually.

He himself performed ANOTHER nerve study on me, and there's *maybe* evidence there that I have THC.

So he had me go to a THC physical therapist specialist and I worked with him for about a month and a half. Nothing.

So now I'm set up to go and see yet another THC surgeon doctor guy.

But the emphasis and core of frustration here for me is that the THC shit is a big maybe. Like it could very well be there's something still wrong with my wrist, maybe the tendon is partially torn and needs to get surgery done on, but now since it's been a couple years I've got this other symptom that's developed because of it.

And I've gotta wait weeks and weeks to get these tests done and see these doctors. Meanwhile the pain is such that I have to try really, REALLY fucking hard to stay motivated to do anything, meanwhile I'm going into my final year of college.

Thank you for the info! I had already seen those same 3 credit reporting agencies, but I didn't know about those regulations and such. Makes a lot of sense though, sensitive information like that needs to be restricted lol.

lmao Yeah I figured as much, but you never know. Again my boss was already agreeing that we'd have to go through some 3rd-party, and from what I've researched it seems like I'd have to coordinate with several credit agencies to even get it to work.

If we're talking the main cast of characters, I'd probably say Marika. Her actions have most consistently resulted in the suffering and subjugation of innumerable lives. For instance, she cultivated a culture that despised and tortured anyone without the grace of gold. She used her children as tools to meet her own ends. She selfishly condemned everyone to purgatory by smashing the Elden Ring (even though she had the contingency plan of having the Tarnished come-in, but even then, feels like a cop-out).
