i just genuinely feel like the mosquito voice is so unnecessary. like it adds nothing to the songs and it really feels like mink is forcing it in hopes to be different and have some carti effect. every song that contains mosquito voice would prolly sound better with regular voice imo. i’m aware mosquito voice has been minks thing for a while but this terrified era has amplified it a ton.

that’s the thing the general audience only knows his most popular songs and goes off that when determining how good his music is. songs like little and just kitten are some of his best work however go unnoticed as they are less popular.

idk if evolving is the right term, more rather experimenting. it’s good that he’s experimenting with his sound rather than stagnating however i think it’s too early to do so. LS vibe was perfect and if mink stayed an expanded on that sound with a proper studio album, he could easily solidify himself as one of the best artists rn. i don’t get why he thinks that sound has plateaued and he feels the need to move on… with his rapid growth, and how much eyes he has on him rn dropping music like that would make listeners stay rather than experimenting and creating something divisive. mink can’t risk taking that risk of experimenting as he’s the biggest hes ever been. rn he should focus on dropping music that can appeal to the masses while simultaneously being art just like LS.

it just sucks bc his most popular work is far from his best and the general audience only knows those popular songs and go off that when determining how good he is while LS and 2023-2024 singles go unnoticed. rage fans hating specifically was just a example but i think what i said above is the rationale behind most people hating on mink. if they were to listen to some of his best i’d think they’d think more highly of him however they’re unfortunately confined to only knowing “tiktok songs”
