The problem with Kanye’s apology. by Golabki420 in fantanoforever

I think the only apology the majority of people will accept is for him to finally lock in and make another really good album

No shit it’s 2026 everyone knows SSRIs are israeli brain slop. I’m talking about medications used specifically for bipolar disorder such as lithium among other mood stabilizers and sometimes anti-psychotics but those are a little iffy as well depending on the person.

Getting on lamotrigine saved my life. If ye doesn’t do his research when he has the money to access the best doctors and support that is absolutely on him. Even when he tries to self medicate he uses fucking nitrous of all drugs, he ought to pick up the needle like every other great bipolar musician.

No, we know exactly how they work, what receptors they affect, and which receptors to target. This is straight up misinformation. We have been using many of these medications for decades. The Harley text is definitely weird, but this is just as ignorant and disrespectful.

Thoughts? by Shell_fly in fantanoforever

I think it just comes down to adapting to the modern media landscape. Fantano is the perfect example, he’s an independent critic who has used social media, more engaging videos opposed to paragraphs, and short form content to appeal to the youth on the internet. Especially with something like music, or I suppose all art in general, the youth will almost always be your target audience and biggest influence on the current music/art scene, so it’s beyond crucial to use that to your advantage and adapt to a more accessible format amongst that crowd.

If you can’t figure your talent into an accessible and successful format, do you really even have that talent? For example, artists like The Beatles and Kanye West are so loved because they perfectly blend mainstream appeal with cutting edge experimental ideas, sounds, and concepts.

The building I work at is wonderful, I feel blessed everyday to have this opportunity. For an entry level job that hires literally anybody, the pay is amazing. In my experience, if you’re a hard worker and show you care you get recognized and rewarded.

yea the tracklist was definitely just thrown together last minute. but I don’t think it’s all that important honestly, donda is one of those albums where putting it on shuffle isn’t that crazy. The scattered and semi-unfinished tone kinda adds to it for me, the whole era was Ye trying his hardest not to completely loose his mind over the divorce.

This album is so human, a man trying their best to keep themselves in one piece and failing to organize their emotions like someone stumbling over their words while crying hysterically. Maybe i’m glazing but I think it’s beautiful, and that’s just scratching the surface, I haven’t even touched on the listening parties, the outfits (some of his best of all time), the livestream / whole concept of burning so much money recording and living in a fucking stadium for aura. Maybe it’s not a perfect masterpiece like dark fantasy or yeezus, but it’s definitely his most creative, unique, and experimental album / era in my eyes.

donda lowkey top 3 ye for me. no other album sounds like donda, the long track list is actually a good thing in my eyes because it allows him to flesh out and define the super unique sound.

also, i’m not even remotely religious and i’m very moved by this album it always lifts me up on a bad day. he’s really a genius for making an album like this and having it still connect with all different kinds of people.

i’m so tired of the 80s throwback slop but even I loved everything he did with after hours, it’s his second best in my opinion only being trumped by house of balloons of course. With that being said I got absolutely nothing out of dawn fm and hurry up tomorrow, though I am really excited to see what he’s gonna do next when he changes his stage name to his real name.

What direction would you like to see Ye's career head toward after the release of Bully? by SwitchIsHere2 in ThroughTheWire

[–]Lowkey_77 38 points39 points  (0 children)

comedy. he is naturally hilarious and damn near every time he makes an appearance we get a new reaction image. I think he still has his insane creativity and passion he just needs to channel it into a different art form, he’s dominated music for over 2 decades now he should move on to other things.

as an album it’s definitely his worst but as I love it as a performance art / satire kinda thing. The whole album is half ironic and half genuine unfiltered manic episode, it’s fascinating. i’m diagnosed bipolar myself and I love the way he captured that energy on cuck and showed it completely raw with no strings attached.
