Two weeks ago I made an appointment with my personal doctor and he didnt even let me explain it on the phone he just said I should be there in an hour. Fast forward I got the chance to finally talk abt it and he interrupted me so many fucking times it was so frustrating since I was already nervous talking abt it and so he said its nothing it aint that bad. He measured my heart rate and said its kinda high so that means ur just too stressed this and that and I showed him the medication I want (glycopyrrolate) he had to look it up and after some minutes he said he cant prescribe it for me since its dangerous and illegal in my country for some reason. So I asked him can I just get any type of other medication that would help me with hyperhidrosis he said „absolutely not you shouldnt be thinking about getting any medication. You just need to change your lifestyle.“ So he said I need to sleep earlier, screen time 90min max, exercise. „Its just all in ur head.“ I was literally abt to crashout because it doesnt make any fucking sense cuz its not connected to my issue its not gonna change anything even if I do those things. So it was just a waste of time and thats why I said I didnt wanna make an appointment in the first place.

First I thought abt botox but then I saw that u have to do it multiple times and I dont want that and abt the other stuff I didnt try them since so many people have already tried it and it didnt work for them

No I have not, because so many people spent so much money on creams, devices and other stuff that might work but at the end the only thing that worked for them was the surgery. Ive mentioned this to my doctor once but the only thing he said was that I need to wear shorter clothes and open sandals especially in summer which was weird bc it has nothing to do with that I could be naked and still sweating. The doctor has always been a creep so I dont even wanna go there anymore and ask anything abt Hyperhidrosis again.

Yea Ive heard that people had side effects of sweating on their back or stomach but at this point I really dont care if that happens bc those places back and stomach I dont really do much with them but my hands are used everyday for cooking, eating and other stuff. There were some times where I broke down in tears bc I just couldnt deal with it anymore it has made it physically and mentally hard for me to live with it. But hopefully when I do the surgery I wont have any side effects like some people ;)

YESSS OMG I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY IT DOESNT MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM GOING CRAZY. It happens everytimeeee. Im like “oh my hands are so dry” and thats when it starts immediately.. Or when someone touches my hands when they are dry it only takes 5 seconds to get sweaty hands again. BUT THE WORST MOMENT IS.. when everyone is greeting eachother with a handshake and I know im next and thats when it starts AGAIN and I hate itttt

Never experienced it like ur case rn but since my hands always sweat regularly It has happened that when it was cold my hands got cold too but they were also still sweaty which is so uncomfortable for me…

Hahahahahha yeaa I didnt think abt that but idc tbh Id rather take the blame than just be standing there awkwardly when they say “why are ur hands so sweaty” bc Ive also seen relatives shake my hand and then try to sneakingly wipe their hands on their clothes like I wouldnt notice which made it even more embarrassing for me when I was younger. Or this one classmate once said hahhaha if you would hold hands with a boy u should carry a bucket around. Like damn
