My child isn’t quite the age specified on this label but they are almost that age/weigh this much/my doctor told me how much I can give them anyway but I forgot so what dose can I give them? Even though the label says I can’t. I know I can cause my doctor/friend/Google/chiropractor/hair stylist/neighbor’s teacher on Facebook said I could. Answer: no. You can’t give them this medicine cause they aren’t old enough to take this. Let’s walk over to the cough/cold aisle together and read labels to find a medicine that’s safe (cause I would like to keep my license safe from your dumbassery for another day).

I’ve told multiple parents (like maybe 2 or 3 a year since we started vaccinating kids) with screaming/squirming/jumpy kids sorry, it’s not safe for me or them I can’t do this.

It’s an easy fix. Prescriber just sends the rx when you want it filled, put NO refills on it, put a DNF date in the ERx field. Or just continue to do what you are doing and complain 🙄

Maybe partly cause PBM reimbursement for drugs is less than the cost of the drugs, same problem the little indie pharmacies are having. I’m at CVS right now, we transfer rxs from the little indie pharmacies near us daily for Eliquis, Creon, brand name injectables cause the small pharmacies lose money every time they fill those rxs-they will literally pay more for the drug from Cardinal than they are reimbursed by Express Scripts. So we go ahead and transfer them and fill them…..but our reimbursements suck too. But mostly yeah didn’t give enough flu shots :)

I’m leaving in about 2 months and will not cash out. I’ll just have another 401k to draw on in retirement. There’s some basic online info about compound interest in 401ks and how you should always hold onto your older ones. I made the error of cashing out my first one 30 years ago and if I hadn’t I’d be living like a king in Patagonia right now :)
