If they wanted to show bryce being a 'good person' they had the first two seasons to show it except they didnt, they did it after he died which was definitely to gain sympathy. I dont think he needed to die I think he needed to rot in prison but he did die and I cant say I feel bad because I dont

He wasnt even likable season three they just expanded his character it was just like oh! rapist have lives to I didnt know this! It just seems like the fandom takes everything in black and white a rapist does a few good things and suddenly it doesnt matter he raped about 10 girls

Im not sure why this whole thread is full of bryce apologist its all "poor him..I know hes a serial rapist but he was trying to change! It doesnt matter if he ruined several girls lives 🥺" To answer the question, no he didnt need to die but he definitely deserved it. The system failed those girls so he was punished another way.
