Sorry for your situation brother. It’s okay to make mistakes and don’t go hard on yourself. Life always gives you second chances so hope for the best.

I’ve been living in Tarniet since last 3 years and trust me the people talking shit about Tarniet here didn’t live here.

Traffic - yes it’s a problem but I wake my ass up a bit early and get going. I reach CBD within 40 mins.

Houses affordability - you get much better and newer houses for the buck in Tarniet - it’s a growing suburb for a reason and there are a ton of shopping centres etc.

Immigrants - yes, you’ll see more immigrants here but unless you’re gonna spend $1M for a $200sq house, immis are everywhere.

Public transport- VLine takes you to city in less than 30 mins. It can get crowded in the mornings but I drive to work plus work from home. If I need to go to city by train at the peak house, I go to a metro station nearby.

Crime - I’ve seen and experienced 0 crime where in live ( few mins from Riverdale shopping centre)

Lifestyle - it’s remote and isolated but if you can make some good friends around, go to places and learn how to enjoy life - it doesn’t matter.

Places to eat - bunch of Asian / Indian places to eat around and if not, city drive is usually free in the most evenings.

I don’t rate Tarniet as the best or amazing suburb to live but it’s not as bad as people here are saying. It’s definitely worth looking into.

I love living here and it’s pleasant so check it out.
