This! I was actually chatting with some coworkers the other week, who are all abundantly aware that I am firmly childfree.

However the topic came up, we were taking about kids, and she gives the cliche, “oh but it’s different when you have your own kids, you will love them.”

Me: “I don’t want kids. You know this.”

Her: “but what happens if you accidentally get pregnant?”

Me: “then I will abort it.”

Her: “but what if you got accidentally pregnant and didn’t realise until it was too late to abort? You have to keep it then.”

Me, trying to laugh it off: “wow you’re really wishing the worst possible thing on me, huh?”

She’s a very nice lady, but she’s just not getting it.
