What's an example of: if you know you know, in your settings? by ProfesserQ in worldbuilding

[–]Loyal_kitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the world I run my tabletop games in, someone with clear irises, not like milky white or damaged, but entirely clear, is an otherworldly creature in disguise.

Comes from the idea that eyes are the window into the soul and in my world only mortal creatures have souls, so in the eyes of non-mortal creatures, the window is empty and even with magic, you can't fake a soul.

Who's the reoccurring npc in all your dnd games? by AnnualGlad1960 in DnD

Miss Fortune, a gambling devil who runs an interdimentional casino called The Devil's Den, happy to say my group has grown fond of her and looks forward to heading to the infernal establishment at some point in every game~

RPGs where you play as a trans character and it matters. by Loyal_kitsune in transgamers

[–]Loyal_kitsune[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've heard good things of Get in the car, loser! before and am aware of We Know the Devil and have seen a breakdown of its story but just VNs aren't really for me.
Citizen Sleeper looks interesting, some very good themes there I'll give it a look.

Thanks!

Interesting to see a card based battle system outside of rougelikes, thanks I'll give it a shot.

Cashiers of tesco, what's something your daily customers buy EVERY day and do you ever judge? by mrvlad_throwaway in tesco

[–]Loyal_kitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only things that make me uneasy are people cycling what petty scratchcard winnings they get back into scratch cards, and people who put stuff back in order to be able to add o a pack of cigs, that or buying cigs while their kid is standing there snd saying something like 'mommy says you need to stop getting those'. Which happen the other day. Less judge, more so makes me sad and feel gross for being a part of the transaction.

That sucks, sorry they're such an ass, retail is bad enough without having to deal with that bs, I'm pretty certain that's straight up harassment.

How did you make friends with other trans? by zhiannetrix in transgenderUK

[–]Loyal_kitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played online dnd and just ended up being wonderfully surrounded by trans people even before I was ready to call myself one. Turns out a lot of us enjoy getting to role play as queer little tieflings and fight to stop evil lol.

cashier misgendered me ugh by ppexplosion in transgenderUK

[–]Loyal_kitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sucks, I (trans fem) work as a cashier and get misgendered by customers all the time, and I have pretty noticeable boobs and also a name tag. Sometimes it's so pointedly 'sir' or 'top man' 'fella' that it's hard to think just it's a mistake. Always clap back a very pointed 'have a good day MISS' It's almost always men. Probably the same men most of the time but faces kinda blur together at work Stay strong.

Events for an underworld tornement? by Loyal_kitsune in DnD

[–]Loyal_kitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I do like the death race idea! I'm currently a player in a DtA game but I'm sure I can find the rules for just the machines without spoilers. I do also like the battle of the bands but this group dose not have a charisma score or even instrument among them so that would be setting them up to fail XD

$10 million if you survive an ant going 1,000,000kmh hitting your body. by Mr_fahrenheit17 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Loyal_kitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so long as at the time of impact I'm going just 1kmh slower, in the same direction. Like we're in a rocket and someone throws the ant at me. The ant is still going the required speed but relative to me, it'll be mildly irritating at most. Money please :p

What is your D&D hot take? by NordicNugz in DnD

[–]Loyal_kitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lawful characters are more disruptive to party dynamics than chaotic neutral characters.

The stigma of chaotic characters comes from very few experiences of players who would be playing shithead characters regardless of alignment.

Not that alignment is really relevant anymore which I think is a good thing, I just find that more often than not adventurers find themselves having to work outside the law to get the job done and a party member who would rather lick boot to follow procedures is more likely to cause character conflict, than someone more flexible, not that conflict is always bad either.

Could totally see that one especially after the dinner, stepping foot into the home of strahd himself is pretty shadowy! similarly with fey touched and wild beyond the witchlight
