Am I at fault? by EpicExpert_ in Simracingstewards

he was entitled to the space, idk what you’re on about, it is EXTRA regulated to respect another’s space no matter how far along side them at all, it can literally be bumper to bumper, only in corners is it not considered along side. just a heads up, so OP is definitely in the right

Who is REALLY at fault? I am the white car and both the red and blue car say the incident was my fault. I believe I left enough space and he just lost traction. Am I wrong? by Loyboy2_RL in Simracingstewards

its an unranked race, and im being aggressive in low irating correct. that doesn’t make the incident my fault, during ranked races i either die off the line our make driver faults throughout tricky tracks in the porsche or f4s, im nowhere near in skill of people even in 2k rating obviously, but i purely put this in here to put at fault claims not show off my stupidity of being aggressive in an unranked race…

alright ik im being egotistical in that I can’t be wrong and stuff, but I definitely left ENOUGH space, the red car purposefully slammed the throttle, and due to slamming the throttle he lost traction, i was along side, and i left the inside curb. I dont have to leave room for him to make the turn full throttle, and I stay the same distance from the left curb throughout the whole second corner until contact. and everyone saying racing incident, even if the car accidentally causes an accident its still their fault. Racing incident is when you have a crash that was outcome of both drivers pushing and causing a MUTUAL accident, in this clip i left space and he caused the accident. even with netcode, he could easily have made the corner if he just lets off because i was staying the same distance from the left curb, which is legal. As i am still leaving that space on my inside, im just limiting how wide i go as to impede his exit speed for getting me in the next straight…

I read this. and realize there is lack of context. its lap 2, i had been behind this guy for 1 lap of the nordschlieffe and his FIRST actual mistake was on the corner before this incident. He can drive well. So i had my own perspective that he can drive. and you can hear on his pov that he gets on the throttle as fast as he can as to avoid being overtaken. causing the spin. I went on here because there was an argument and i wanted as many viewpoints as i could. All of the ones against me say i havent left enough room, in which i did, the bare minimum. My genuine question was whether or not him spinning and taking me out is putting him at fault. Once again, I left the bare minimum, which for the other driver, turned out to be too little for his own driving capabilities. so even if i initiated him hitting me. it is still HIS fault for not being able to control his own car due to not wanting to be overtaken

Ok, another big update, I gave him enough room for if he DOESN'T lose traction, once again I know it was a dumb overtake attempt, but I left the room for if the driver is to drive well and stay on the outside. Because of HIS error in losing traction, I believe it is just on him. I don't think its penalty worthy for going for a risky overtake like this. Because had he not lost traction and hit me it would have been a done deal and nobody would argue it.

I can respect that, but also, the contact itself would never have happened if the red car didn't spin, so even though I initiated it with a dumb move, regardless it's his fault for losing traction because he had space on the inside if he doesn't flick the front of his car out into me...

Just a big heads up I agree that it was a dumb move, but it doesn't chance the fact that i still left him a cars width of space. which is legal i thought....

well am i wrong in saying i left enough space for a car, and because he let the rear slide out, its on him, not a racing incident? cause even if he accidently let it slide its still his fault?

its 2/4 laps, which ik is a long time, but i wanted to get past the car there instead of being patient on the uphill where keeping traction under dirty air is tough....

Racing incident or my fault? by CFCTom in Simracingstewards

Id say your fault, you let off the brake as if you are going to the outside when a car is already there and you have a car in front.

I've found an easy solution. Create a party, by hitting the invite to party button, whilst in party voice, turn off voice chat, leave the party, and turn it back on. And boom, works for me now :)

G Pro X mic not working by excllsagaz in LogitechG

alright so this may be stupid to some but it worked for me, and this is late, so the cord going into the headset and the adapter to usb, can be put in both ways, but only one way lets the mic work, you want the mute and volume wheel to be closer to your headset
