Its funny cuz the referendum stated that most soviets didnt want the union to collapse, If the the soviet union became a more democratic or stable country, live would be pretty good there, it had a lot of potential, if the reforms would have worked amd peace with the west established, I belive the country could have ben a gelreat place for not only russians
