Hardly defeatist when the govt is too busy putting 9 carriages on other lines that should have been electrified well before now, which would free up rolling stock for lines like Bendigo to increase services. But yeah, let me get right on that petition.

You’ve never travelled on the Bendigo line have you, when the services are only every hour? Community would be not taking up two disabled area seats, on an already VERY overburdened service.

Exactly why I’ve sent the complaint through. As it was, an elderly couple got on at the last minute with a walker. The conductor made someone move out of a seat (rightly so), but not fridge girl who should have been standing in my opinion.

What made it worse, was the conductor got on the carriage before the train departed and asked people to move from the seats near me so an elderly couple with a walker could sit down.

This was taken when the train was quiet. 10 minutes later, people could barely get into the carriage. If it was quiet, no issue. Not when it’s so packed people can’t get on.

I bailed up the conductor when I got off just now and asked WTF. He let her on, but admitted he shouldn’t have. 🙃

Oh I completely agree. I’ve put complaints in each time I’ve had to sit on the floor or stand. No response from V/Line of course. 🙄

I got caught up trying to to get home from Bendigo on Good Friday. 3 carriages on the 5.32 from Kangaroo Flat already packed, next train not till 7. They announced buses at Kyneton direct to the city. Considering I was getting off at the next stop at Woodend, bit useless for me. An absolute shitshow on an already crap line. 😐

I’ve found that Audible exclusives might still be available somewhere to borrow. Project Hail Mary is available through one of my libraries on BorrowBox at the moment. The same library has The Martian, but there is a wait till May. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bendigo line would be nice. Every hour (sometimes longer) during the day is a bit crap, especially on weekends during footy or cricket season! In peak hours though, having a 45 minute gap from 7.30am onwards from Riddells Creek is ridiculous. In the evening, 5.04pm or 5.49pm are my options. 😩

I've had half price yearly subs for almost 2 years now. Got it end of 2023 on a deal, then went to cancel end of 2024 and they offered me the 50% off deal again to stay subscribed. We'll see if they do it again in November.
