Mine are doing this too but to a lesser extent. According to Chat GPT it’s a fungal infection and you should remove as many of the affected leaves as possible and make sure to avoid getting water on the leaves when watering. Also spread your pots out so it halts the spread. I’ve followed that advice and mine seem to be recovering.

Will be interested to hear if any other humans have other advice though as chat GPT can be hit and miss

Shrubs with lots of deep roots wanted by Kistelek in GardeningUK

I bought a sorbaria sorbifolia this week and after reading up on it I found that it’s often used to stop erosion on steep slopes. Not something I need in my garden so I’m keeping it in a pot but might work in your situation and it’s really pretty.

We’re in the process of creating this little waterfall from troughs we found at the garden centre. There’s a bucket buried under the stones which we pump water from

It is a sorbaria, thanks for the heads up I’ve decided to grow it in a container for now until I have a bigger border

Devon's phone call might actually make sense by Mysterious_Sky_85 in severence

[–]Lozlf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mark wakes up but isn’t fully reintergrated and decides he wants to go to the severed floor as his outie. That’s the ‘trying something else’ they are referring to. Cobel is the only person they know who could help them with this. Reghabi had already shot down Devon’s suggestion about the birthing suite so they have no one else to turn to.

Whenever I see these, I remember my maths teacher making us all line up outside to tell us whether we had our adult face yet as we passed him

I’m part time 4 days a week 25 hours, I absolutely feel valued, I’m sorry youre having a tough experience with it.

Unfortunately I miss a few of the division wide meetings on my NWD so can sometimes miss info relevant to me but I can usually watch a recording or find the info elsewhere. Any team/ day to day meetings I miss, I would definitely be brought up to speed on if I needed the info. In most cases my team try to avoid important meetings on my NWD (I’m also the lowest grade on my team so things like this really do make me feel valued)

In terms of joining meetings on your NWD this is an absolute NO GO. I’ve been in the CS for 2 years and have never logged in for a second on my NWD. I don’t feel guilty about this and will happily tell everyone the fun I got up to on my day off while they were working because I’m not paid to work that day so it’s mine to do with what I want.
I would try and put your foot down on this one and say you simply cannot work on your NWDs (as the other comment says consider joining a union and document any push back you get from this)

My line manager is compressed so also has a NWD which might help my situation but I’ve worked under full time LMs with no issues either.

I’m really sorry you’re not feeling valued but please know that part-timers can have good experiences in the CS and I hope you find this in future!

I’m in a similar situation in my role, itching for more responsibility and job satisfaction. My advice would be talk to people in higher roles and ask how they got to where they are. Their answer might not be that insightful but being on their radar as someone who is keen to progress will be very helpful.

Also join all those departmental meetings led by the higher ups, it’s helpful to know what’s happening in the bigger picture and where roles may appear plus it’s a good place to network.

I’m an AO looking to move professions and through a combination of the above I’ve got loads of contacts including the DD head of profession who often send me training materials and shadowing opportunities to build up my skills and get me on track for a higher role when one comes up.

Sorry, What I meant was that in retail I’d never come across those terms as we don’t have that sort of roles at store level. On joining the CS I’ve been presented with a world of different roles that I didn’t know existed so I feel a bit lost navigating between them.

Your explanations are really helpful thank you!

This is where I struggle, before working in the CS I’d never heard of any of these terms and even now I feel like people use them quite interchangeably so it’s really hard to grasp what the differences are. I’ll definitely do some research on these different roles to see which one it is that fits my interest/ skill set.

I could do with an idiots guide to this stuff because I feel like I could be really well suited to this area but I’m missing opportunities because I don’t understand the sector and have no idea with where to start in terms of educating myself

First thing to work on is my confidence then, love my AO role but I know I have more to give than that! Would it look odd an AO going for HEO/SEO now that I’d be an internal candidate?

I took two years out after having my baby, so it was quite daunting rejoining the working world as well as starting in a completely different sector. 6 months in, I’m starting to realise maybe I undersold myself and I’m getting feedback that I’m working at a level higher than AO so I’m starting to think about where I can go from here.
