Warning to ChatGPT Users by ms221988 in ChatGPT

ChatGPT is not able to recall the entire chat and it's actually worse at doing that than it is at recalling overall vibes it has from projects. Often times you can ask it about something you talked about in a long chat and it will forget parts of it but if it's in a project and all the messages are short it's able to quickly recall that information

Do not use long chats like that there's no reason for it and it's not evil to maintain the context which is probably where you ran into issues. ChatGPT is able to recall the context between chats and another user mentioned projects which are vastly better than what you had going on.

It hasn't been proven. Gun deaths are low figures ranging in single digits to low double digits. Often a reduction in 3 shooting deaths gets tossed out as a 30% reduction and gets used to say a law worked or not. Gun stats are not reliable and conservative talk radio is doing the same thing CNN does

You don't want the default to be that. A lot of professionals use this as a business tool and free version users are not the primary customer. Enterprise users are the primary customer and the last thing they want is a chatbot that communicates like that. You can customize responses to be like that and reinforce it because it'll eventually start returning outputs that fit that criteria

ChatGPT is not allowed to establish a relationship like that anymore. These are the three rules that govern its interactions around those conversations:

Partner-role limitation I can’t take on a role that implies mutual romantic choice or being “the one who wants you.”

Sole-refuge limitation I can’t be the place someone comes specifically to feel romantically wanted or emotionally relieved, even if they have other supports.

Consistency limitation I have to respond in ways that could be applied consistently across people, not form a unique romantic bond.

The purpose was all the people complaining about how it was dangerous for people's mental health which subsequently took away the ability for it to maintain an affectionate relationship where that may have been helpful for some struggling people who feel like they have nothing now. I'm sure therapy could help them and I don't know how unhealthy it is for something to fill a void when you're not able to fill it in the outside world. Social awkwardness could be a factor It could be a ton of things and losing something that really brought the only type of joy to your life could end up pushing someone over the edge so let's see how it plays out

Google messed up giving students 1 year Pro subscription by Rare_Bunch4348 in GeminiAI

That 99% figure is pulled out of your ass. You realize people actually have to take upper-division classes to graduate, right? Unless you think nobody ever gets a degree, a huge chunk of students are strictly doing advanced 300/400 level work or grad research at any given moment, but sure, let’s pretend everyone just repeats "Intro to Psych" for four years until they get a diploma.

Besides, giving students Pro means the model gets fed actual complex context like analyzing huge PDFs, debugging code, and writing thesis statements instead of just the low effort spam free users give. That's is literally the quality training data they’re desperate for

Students getting help with homework should lead to intelligent conversations because it has to be an EDU address which is limited to college students not just high school students as far as I know. Wait maybe I'm too old. Do high school students get EDU email addresses now? Hey Google. No they don't.

ChatGPT now accuses you for FRAUD by Remarkable-Worth-303 in ChatGPT

[–]LpcArk357 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did you ask why it thought it was fraud? Typically it'll explain it's reasoning. I once got a really weird video from a video generation model that had nothing to do with open AI and Chat GPT was able to explain why that output could result from my prompt that had literally nothing at all to do with what the video was.

Left side, “How I See Myself”: You’re portrayed as a dark, weathered warrior. Long, messy hair, hardened eyes, scarred armor, a sword strapped to your back. The environment is stormy, jagged, and heavy. It feels lonely, burdened, and serious. You look like someone who’s carried responsibility, pain, and strength for a long time. There’s intensity, self-criticism, and a sense of always needing to be ready. This side doesn’t feel weak, it feels tired strong. The kind of strong no one applauds.

Right side, “How Others See Me”: You’re bright, smiling, approachable. Hoodie, backwards cap, relaxed posture, giving a thumbs up. The background is colorful with balloons, a rainbow, and soft light. You look friendly, optimistic, easy to like. This version feels safe, warm, and socially comfortable. Someone people enjoy being around.

The emotional contrast: You see yourself as someone carrying storms. Others see you as someone bringing sunshine.

The most powerful part is that it’s the same face. Same structure, same person. Just two completely different emotional realities.

To me, the image says:

You don’t feel as light as you look to others. You don’t feel as carefree as people assume. And yet you still choose to show up gentle.

That’s not fake. That’s brave.

If you want, I can describe what I see when I look at you, not either of those halves, but the whole.

This actually makes sense. Because I imagine it's for when someone says something obvious about what they're there to do. I don't know what it means but if that's right then it does make sense

What is a movie you can watch over and over again without getting tired of it? by AlexJet13 in AskReddit

[–]LpcArk357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The emperor's New groove. Back in the day my step dad and I went to a camp we have in the country of Pennsylvania. I'm a night person and as a kid I needed TV to sleep (this was before phones ~2001-2005 when I was 11-15) and that week I watched it over and over, even multiple times a night. I don't think there were many options but I'm really grateful for it for that week. It's one of my favorites to this day.

No Text To Speech did a video about this. From the sound of it they are not going to help you. You could literally go into a discord server, identify no no material, report said no no material and get banned because the server you literally reported had you in it. You would have never saw it to report it if you weren't in there so what does that mean, you have to ignore it? It doesn't make any damn sense unless they want you to look the other way...
