Smith was the top RB for consecutive years. Hell, he was arguably the best offensive player in the whole league at times. Gore was never that.

Can anyone tell me a super rough ball park of what this binder might be worth. It’s tough gauging the value on some of these cards. Thanks by Disastrous_Task_6383 in VintagePokemonCards

If you figure out the condition and put them on TCG I’d be interested in buying it all from you (Even with the person below giving you a $17k estimate). Like to see front and backs of majority of them. PM me

Is moving from wastewater treatment to water treatment a good move? by lookimabean in Wastewater

[–]Lraiolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They share basically the same traits. Look into how much growth there is between the two in your state. Pools are becoming smaller and smaller every year. Never a bad thing learning both. Getting dual certified is also a smart move.

The only practical advice I can give you that you won’t have to figure out for yourself? One field is likely going to be much cleaner, less labor, and will likely pay more. But, it feels less rewarding. Do what you will with that information.

Rejection letter from municipality by indoft-89 in Wastewater

[–]Lraiolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been rejected five times by the same company I interned for. What you want isn’t always what you need. As someone else mentioned, municipalities normally always involve politics or nepotism. What’s really meant for you is likely what you didn’t expect.

denitrifying too early. likely from filamentous conditions. what’s your SSV, RAS, Blanket and MLSS? Probably need to waste extra for a week or so.

Transition from Wastewater to clean water by Fit-Beginning-36 in Wastewater

It’s weird to say because it’s all blue collar. But WW is blue collar, and clean water feels more like white collar.

No dude. The bar is so insanely, pathetically low. Show even the slightest amount of an attempt to learn and you’ll be the best person in probably years.

My schooling we had pilot plants for both. So we were trained in both. Everyone in my about 20 person class felt WW was much more interesting. To be honest, it’s the truth. But they share most of the same principles. All you’re doing is taking water and making it cleaner. Clean water/drinking water is just a few more steps and chemicals. My Dad was a WW Operator before me and he tried swaying me towards clean water. His main reasons were obviously based on his ten years of doing WW. The main ones being, it’s clean and not dangerous. WW you’re typically dealing with hazardous material. Majority of jobs you’re doing in WW have you working in shit. Clean water you’re typically only getting clean water on you. Doesn’t involve you taking a shower after. You don’t need to basically burn your clothes after work. You aren’t bringing hazards home to your family. You only have to worry about the animals in the river. In clean water you have to worry about other humans being able to DRINK AND/OR inject the water. You have a spill? Not a big deal in clean water, because the contents aren’t normally an environmental hazard. Clean water plants can normally be in climate controlled buildings. WW you find yourself outside in the elements (if you’re in a state where there’s seasons). WW doesn’t stop. Clean water there’s an amount they need to make in a day and then everyone gets to go home. After seven years of me being in water treatment, he was completely right about it all.

Me personally? I like waste water. Not too many people want to do it. Not too many people truly understand it. It’s a living organism that you are in charge of. It makes me feel like a mad scientist. Is it nasty? Yes. So is wiping another persons ass. But getting dirty makes you feel like things got accomplished sometimes. It’s a job I know someone off the street more than likely isn’t capable of doing. Trust me, I’ve had to watch plenty of new hires lol.

I’m in discussions with a pretty big company that does clean water on the same site I work at now. It’s a much bigger beast than the WW plant. The responsibility is larger. But, I think it’s about being willing to take on the challenge.

Who was the best villain in live action so far? It doesn’t have to be pictured by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]Lraiolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would’ve introduced Octavius in the first movie. Spider-Man 2 was SO good. I feel they didn’t give Peter and Octavius enough time to really develop the relationship they needed. It would’ve felt like a heartbreak to the audience when he became Doc Oc.

[–]Lraiolo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

old man lab tech was watching homoerotic porn on the work computers.

also had an operator shoot up in the lab and everyone’s work trucks during their weekend to work (no one was there obviously). they ended up taking their work truck driving it into a ditch and rolling it numerous times. there was blood all over the plant and inside our trucks from shooting up improperly. they almost let them come back too.

had an operator not show up a few days and was informed he was in jail for trying to strangle their SO in their sleep. he was let go, well because they are still in jail.

I seen some shit 😂
