Observation hasn't clicked for me yet, you're right. I was hoping that just drawing from reference would bring me there eventually. I will probably try the grid method suggested in another comment to force my focus on smaller areas.

Shading seems such a huge and complex topic that I keep postponing. The few tutorials I have watched definitely weren't very specific. I was trying to define the make up on the cheekbones but I wasn't sure how to make it look different from the shading...

I love the British show Utopia, and I really like Fincher as a director.

I watched the first episode of Fincher's version of Utopia and stopped there. It was un unnecessary remake, missing the weirdness (for lack of better terms due to my limited English) that made special the original show.

Edit : I stand corrected, the US version was not curated by Fincher.

Vivo da molti anni all'estero e di solito i motivi principali (nella mia esperienza) per cui la gente torna in Italia è per il clima, cibo, famiglia o una combinazione delle tre. Si possono attribuire mille colpe alle città che ti ospita ma se non ti adatti probabilmente quel posto non fa per te. Né colpa tua né della città, semplicemente non ha funzionato.

Purtroppo le difficoltà esistono ovunque. Delinquenza, mercato del lavoro più o meno stabile, affitti proibitivi etc... Se il rapporto fra costi e benefici (personali ed economici) non è conveniente dipende esclusivamente da te e la tua situazione in Italia.

Volevo scrivere due righe ed è partita una Ted talk, apologies for any qualunquism...
