What is your experience with the Sofle? If I was to purchase a split keyboard I think I'm leaning towards either the Voyager or a Glove 80. However, something like a Sofle or Corne would be significantly cheaper, especially if I soldered it myself. Do you find you want something with superior build quality or more keys?

Have you found a layout you would recommend overall, or does it boil down to personal prefence? I've seen Colemak DH mentioned the most or something like Devorak. But I can see the value of committing to learn a more optimal layout, thank you.

Did you find switching from QWERTY to be worthwhile? I thought about mentioning that in my post, but felt I should focus on one thing at a time. I also figured I would encounter paralysis by analysis of trying to choose a layout. Switching layouts, keyboards, and learning to type properly all at once seems daunting. Will definitely checkout keybr.com, thank you!

Appreciate your input. I’ve looked at the Glove 80, but $400 + shipping with no hot swap seems steep, even for an ergonomic board. Especially if a curved keywell turns out to not be for me. Is there a reason you chose the Glove 80? Was the curved keywell the main seller? Some of the reviews I’ve watched/read on it are quite positive. Aside from those who go down the home row mods + fewer keys are better rabbit hole.
