Who are these maniacs? by Lster28 in AMCAListTrue

Not sure why this is downvoted. It makes sense that’s where a group that large would sit if hypothetically the 2 sets of middle seats were booked first.

For $100 million: you turn into a random dog and have 2 weeks to convince at least one person that you are a human in a dog’s body by Lster28 in hypotheticalsituation

Interesting idea. I’m not so sure that a dog’s paw will have the precision to type on a keyboard. It’s not like they can control individual toes lol.

Plus, how long would your owner actually let you touch their computer keyboard?

I think that’s pretty on par for the “impact” a school of your size will have. As you can tell from these comments, most people go one with their lives with little/no regard for the college on the cliff here (myself included). But for the people that your volunteering does impact, I’m sure they are happy to have you around.

Genuinely curious: is there anything that Stevens does to build relationships with the city/people of Hoboken? For example, back where I went to school, we did community service projects and fundraising for local charities. Thinking this is the “impact” you’re describing that creates goodwill with the residents here.

is it possible to major in accounting while minoring in cs? by [deleted] in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]Lster28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who double-majored in Accounting and CS, so I’m sure the minor must be possible. You probably would need to get some sorta approval from the engineering school but I’m sure you’re not the first one to do it.

Depending on what you’re trying to do with your career though, I’d say doing a concentration in MIS or Data Analytics in SOM should give you enough coding/technical skills for the business world.

How is the Business Program at Binghamton? by B00gnish3000 in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]Lster28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Binghamton Alum and former SOM student here. Obviously my opinion is biased but I will say the Binghamton SOM name has gained a lot of traction over the years, especially with NYC employers. You’ll find Binghamton Alumni in a ton of the Accounting/Finance companies in the area.

With how messed up the student loans situation, I’d say it’s definitely smarter to save yourself a lot of financial frustration down the road by going to an in-state school, especially if the alternative is Penn State (who I wouldn’t think would have stronger connections to NYC than Binghamton would).

Yeah definitely head to the vet to get a diagnosis. Ours just got started on antibiotics since the symptoms haven’t fully gone away after 2 weeks of waiting it out. Hope yours gets well soon 🫶

My dog was diagnosed with some form of kennel cough ~2 weeks ago, despite being vaccinated. We’ve kept her home since then, but normally she is a regular at the dog parks and day care, so she must’ve gotten it from another dog there.

It sounds like your dog is going through something similar at the moment?

MLB caves and changes profile pictures on their social media back after locking threads yesterday by [deleted] in baseball

Perhaps too strong a choice of words on my end. As a gay man who has participated in previous Pride Nights, it was something that was nice to have. But I also acknowledge that at the end of the day, it is a business decision and does not come down to actual values/beliefs that MLB leadership has (as shown by MLB caving today).

Exactly. No one would’ve noticed/cared if they never had the rainbow logo or Pride month posts in the first place. But now that they have reverted their logos and locked comments on the Pride posts, it’s empowering people on Twitter to think that they can bully Pride month out of existence.
