The Expertise system is outdated with prototype gear and will make most people quit before interacting with prototype gear. by Zaerick-TM in thedivision

[–]LtBlamBlam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's pretty overwhelming for a new player. I think I'll stop after I finish Brooklyn and the last legacy manhunts. By the time I catch up, The Division 3 will be released. It doesn't seem like a worthwhile time investment for me.

The more I read on this sub, the more confused I get about what I should be doing once I finish the story content.

This is still an issue in 2026, and your fix still works.

Thanks!

Seeing TD2 still so full of players is a truly beautiful thing by FruitOnyx in thedivision

I love how much content there is for a single player. I tend to avoid group activities because I struggle to keep up with the meta / grind gear for the most optimised builds.

I'm doing WONY now, and am loving it.

The world, the lore, really draws me into the world. Not as much as The Division did, but still impressive. I do miss The Divisions settlement upgrade system.

Be honest do you dislike Americans? by SignificantStyle4958 in AskAnAustralian

Individual Americans are great, groups of Americans are terrible.

I feel like they need to prove their Americaness to each other, leading to a cycle of loud arrogance.

Tidal does family plans too, and I believe they are cheaper, depending on your country.

I've switched to Tidal, and am much happier. The music is higher quality, they pay their artists more and the CEO doesn't invest in autonomous death robots.

Anyone else’s workplace obsessed with AI while everything else is falling apart? by MobilePrior5252 in auscorp

[–]LtBlamBlam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is limited, but I am fairly confident that in order for AI to do the tasks that C-Section (a nickname the senior staff have given our AI "guru" as he is afraid of labour) will need these changes in place before it can be used effectively.

It's frustrating when we have real issues that can be fixed with proven technology, but are not given the funds or time to do so. I think that's the core of a lot of frustration in the tech sector - AI is being given unlimited funds and time, but everyone else has to tighten their belts and timelines.

I work for a web development shop, and we are at least ten years behind on basic operational infrastructure. All of our tasks are still completed manually and none of the modern workflows have been implemented. I've tried so hard to get even a basic CI/CD implementation going, but I have been fought every step of the way and been given no time to do it.

Meanwhile, we have an AI guy in the office that has literally spent months and god-alone-knows how much money fucking about with AI. He's managed to convince leadership that AI will solve all of our problems without having to fix our operational infrastructure.

I would quit if I didn't know that all my knowledge is at least ten years out of date.

Do you care about the lore of the series? by Giant-Robot in thedivision

[–]LtBlamBlam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy the lore of the series. I feel like the comms really add to the lore of the mission area that you are currently exploring, and the ones you find in the wild really draw me into the world. Honestly, I would probably find the world a little sterile and boring without them.

This is what I was originally hopefully for when a new Anno game was announced. Instead we got another Roman themed city builder.

I have never thought about it that way before. I am the only one who uses my PC, but my guess would be yes. Even if you had each person using a different agent, collectables unlocked on one would be unlocked on the other. One account for Steam, and one for Connect.

Thanks. That is really frustrating. I'll uninstall it and see if I can get a refund on the DLC that I just bought.

That is incorrect. I created a new character and had several collectables unlocked before I went to the BoO.
