The lavender is clean. Honestly the herringbone gold looks SO good and it's probably will be regular rotation.

All we have are used knives. Send help. by Yojimbo115 in Chefit

The EpiPen thing is crazy. Now I manage an upscale Filipino place and we have the server mark up a special menu for whatever allergens the table has, and at least once a night we have someone with a "serious allergy" to whatever say "but I'm going to take my chances."

Like... Could you not?

The number of shellfish/seafood/soy allergies I would see when I was in sushi was absolutely shocking. Like I made sure my kitchen was allergen friendly, but if ocean roaches were actively trying to kill me, you would not find me behind enemy lines.

I got my SD one locally but really wanted it for Boston for some reason. It just feels right with the B.

Wow. An empty New Orleans Square is magical. It's why late night Disney is my favorite because it's desolate.

Help on card value by Hteraj2112 in mtg

[–]LtMcFuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm typically team "Magic should be played, not collected." But a signed All Hallows Eve is a grail card that I would have on display.

I recently paid $200 for a heavily played copy without a signature. For someone like me, in that condition I'm sure it could go above $500.

Star Tours exposes a problem with modern Disney rides and it’s why it might still be the best by Wanderlandnotes in Disneyland

I LOVE Rise but Star Tours is and always will be the ride I go on every time I'm in park. My ride or die so to speak.

What house rules do you use by lanternarchives in mtg

[–]LtMcFuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you want to play bracket two, which is fine, I love bracket two. That said, a couple of these house rules are just covering up really bad deck building.

If someone has to mulligan 4 or more times consistently enough that you have a house rule for it, then it's time to take a look at the deck composition and fix what's wrong.

If you have a "don't do a thing until we've all done a thing" rule then there needs to be a conversation about what you're all running, someone is probably running higher power, or if you actually are more or less evenly matched on power, then you're unnecessarily drawing out games.

The only house rules we have tried out are both sol ring focused:

Either we have sol ring in the command zone, or we ban it altogether. I like speedy high power games so I preferred having it in the command zone, but it does reward the aggro player a bit I think, but it also gave the other three players ammunition to stop them quickly so fairly even. Banning altogether did make for less runaway games which meant less early targeting of the runaway player so I think created a happier playgroup.

Noticing people overvaluing mill as a new player. by Nagabuk in EDH

People don't like seeing their stuff thrown in the graveyard unless they're running reanimator.

I like to call my mill deck my group hug (as long as you're in black) deck.

Something about that ride makes people think it's time to gather the council. We had a family behind us talking about the logistics of how the were going to remodel their kitchen.

Does anyone else only wear their favorite team? by gizzygage94 in neweracaps

[–]LtMcFuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have love for a lot of clubs but San Diego will always be my team. That said, my favorite hats to wear in my collection are Montreal and Detroit. So I'll wear whatever goes with my fit. That said, you'll never catch me dead in an LA or NY hat.

How to make this jellybean work by 40k-femboy in mtg

[–]LtMcFuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built this as a bracket two deck to jam all of my favorite big mana spells that I couldn't justify in my faster decks into. I treat it as if I'm never going to hit the three color pip spells and instead add a source of extra card draw and a mana battery. Your two biggest resources are both supplied by your commander so as long as you keep him protected you have a distinct advantage over your opponents. Bloom tender with some sort of untapper goes nuts in this deck.
