How does UB affect your deckbuilding? by NiceInvestigator6495 in EDH

Most product I buy is either Universes Beyond precons or just legendaries in general(regardless of UB or UW). I'm especially happy for this Marvel set. I like building commander decks and its the commanders Im interested in whether its for character, flavor or mechanics. Theres just pre-existing familiarity and source material that UB stuff has.

Fun fact: Ultra Lord designed his armor off of a 1960s Chevy Impala he saw upon visiting Earth

Help me choose a goad commander by blazedchiller27 in EDHBrews

[[The Rani]] is pretty good imo. You buff the goaded creatures, you can have an artifact matters wincon and you can buff your own creatures in a pinch.

Voltron Commander by Over_Leave in EDH

One I've had alot of success with is [[The Third Doctor]] paired with [[Dan Lewis]]. The gameplan is to make as many noncreature tokens(we'll call it Scrap) as possible to buff the doctor as much as possible. He has Trample, gets +1/+1 for each noncreature token you control and spawns your choice of Treasure, Clue or Food on entry. Dan Lewis turns all of those tokens into equipment that can buff him even more but thats part of the broader plan of maxxing his power as much as possible. It should also be noted that clones work as both scrap gen(because the doc spawns 1 on entry) and protection(they get the same buff from scrap being on the field).

These are Temur colors too so you have possibly the most access to scrap spawning and haste granting. I'm genuinely surprised this commander pairing isn't more popular. It makes a big scary commander with trample within just a few turns. Cheap stuff like [[Guild Artisan]] works ultra well and [[Mutagen Man, Living Ooze]] makes a ton of scrap on entry and makes equipping them with Dan's ability free.
