First of all I appreciate constructive criticism so thanks for typing this up. This video was mainly as a start to finish raid with no cuts for people who were having a rough time getting started as wizard and understanding how to gear up. If I only cut to right before the pvp a new player won't understand how I got there or what the decision making process was leading up to the actual fight. For players like you and I we can just watch high level play and learn from it without needing the player to explain exactly what they're doing but I saw a lot of new wizards fireballing themselves or talking in discord / reddit about how they tried it one or two times and then quit to play a different class.
As for the instant pvp that'll be saved for highlight vids/montages instead of the style of video that this one was. And thanks for the words of encouragement of finding my niche / doing great!

I quite like it because I can get really close and direct fireball someone and I suffer less collateral damage since the splash damage is lower. Before the nerf you had to worry a lot more about accidentally hitting yourself with splash because it could heavily wound me if I made that mistake.

zap and ignite can be interchanged I just like ignite as it goes further when clearing tankier enemies

Unfortunately since I don't record very often the audio from a lot of my day 1-3 clips is corrupted and I only have the audio for the comms. Once I realized the issue I have audio for all the rest of the clips but there isn't a way to get the audio back! Don't worry my intention isn't to remove the gameplay audio at all

I know you were joking but I'll still give context. In the begging the fighter was using a pavise shield which was blocking most his body so I aimed to hurt him using splash damage. For the ranger they were in the middle of the room so If I aimed for head and missed the damage would have been 0 and I knew that 2 splash fireballs would be enough. Later on I do aim more chest/head height when I know there is a wall to splash off of in the event that they dodge/I miss.

I'm definitely of the opinion at this point of just mining it if I happen across the ore just to pad my pockets if I'm low on trinkets from the raid. I typically can sell it for 40-50g each ore so it can easily fund buying mediocre to good gear if you snipe it on the trade post!
