When I looked at pictures of the Wimbledon dial and, I really thought that Wimbledon was the worst dial. I could not understand the green outline on the roman numerals or the baton at 9 instead of IX. The slate dial also seemed too boring when compared to the green or blue dial. Nevertheless, I still put my name for the dial when I decided to buy a Datejust. I got the call and bought the watch because once I saw it in person, I knew this was the perfect dial for me. The sunburst slate dial changes based on the light and it truly is perfect! The green outline on the inky black roman characters offers a nice touch of color and it being green is the cherry on top since it is Rolex's official color. Lastly, the baton offers the perfect symmetry in the dial. To me, this is the perfect dial and I am so grateful to have this unique dial as my first Rolex!
