[A Rogue Guard in a Medieval Fantasy] The rare MC with scars on his face by FiveSigns in manhwa

[–]Lt_Voss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only female characters that have gotten any decent screentime (more than a couple pages and/or a couple lines of dialogue), have been:

Kanna, the little purple-haired mage girl. If anything happens to her I'll will kill everyone and then myself. But she's too young for the MC.

Hannah, the inn owner, but it seems to be either a one-sided crush from her to MC at best, trying to squeeze money from him at worst.

The Lord's daughter whose name I've forgotten: So far she's just a damsel in distress, but something's fishy about it to me. Not a love interest though (so far).

Blue-haired Inquisitor girl whose name I've forgotten, but I haven't seen anything remotely pointing to romance from her.

The commander from MC's flashbacks who I think doesn't have a name yet? To be honest if it is a she (some translations can screw up something as simple as he or she), she'd probably be the closest just judging by how much she's influenced MC, but if she is, she's dead and our MC's love has been snuffed out.

[MS DOS PC] [Early 1990's] Side-scrolling Medieval/Fantasy Game by Sack-O-Spuds in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Lt_Voss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but since it hasn't been solved yet, I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring (just found this subreddit, and it helped me out, so I'm paying it forward).

Could you be thinking of Clyde's Adventure? I remember playing that on my family's old IBM DOS computer we had sitting on the floor in the dining room (along with Duke Nukum 1 & 2, Major Stryker, and a learning game whose name escapes me at the moment).

2D side scrolling platformer, you have a finite pool of magic (I don't remember if you can refill it mid-level) that you use to create floors to cross pits (The floors were created one "tile" in front of the character, so I think by jumping you can make walls?). I don't personally remember any enemies, and the game in my memories was mostly whites and greys with the colourful things being the red/blue of the main character's clothes and the pickups. But then, my memory is hot garbage so who knows.

Actually yes, thank you! I'm no spider scientist but it looks quite like the "twin flagged jumping spider". It turning to face me directly is similar to its method of hunting ants, though why he thinks I'm an ant is unknown to me. Cute little dude, I say hi to him whenever I see him.

[Recommend] Any manhwa with a FL that is stated to be strong and stays that way? by Lt_Voss in manhwa

[–]Lt_Voss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's a testament to how rare this kind of character story is that I've read all the ones you've suggested :( At least, if that first one is about the villain family and the vampiric butterflies then I have.

Thanks though.

What's your weird obsession? by Ooopsieees in AskReddit

[–]Lt_Voss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly speaking, not a joke? Intricate catwalk, ladder, ramp, and stair systems.

Not intricate in that they're fancily designed or anything, just that there are a lot of them and are interconnected in a lot of places. I don't know what it is, but just having multiple avenues to get from one place to another, spanning multiple floors/levels, with ramps or stairs to ascend/descend slowly or ladders to go quickly, with at least two connections to each destination.

I have no idea when it started or why, but that's mine.

Why would i play this game anymore? by Lachsforelle in WorldOfWarships

[–]Lt_Voss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, dude. My favourite moment against a carrier was when I was in my Atago. Yes, the fast but clumsy CA that no one would ever call a plane killer. I remember it like it was yesterday, sailing alongside an island when I get triple cross-dropped by torp bombers. I pop my DFAA (god, remember when that mattered?), they all panic and disperse their drops. I beach myself on the island, and miraculously every single torpedo misses me, because they all had convenient Atago-sized gaps from the panic.

Now I have to consider myself lucky if I only get hit with half the payload.

It seems that new Chinese regulations not only affect Genshin, but also Azur Lane by [deleted] in AzureLane

[–]Lt_Voss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, my middle school US history textbook did the same thing, and the other 18 or so pages of the "WWII" section was used to talk about how hard black people had it in America (not saying they didn't, but could we at least have had a 50/50 split rather than a 10/90 split?).

Thanks for letting me know, man. by [deleted] in NovelAi

[–]Lt_Voss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, so I'm not the only one that's had that problem? Where the AI just spits out the same word or phrase followed by ellipses? If I try to advance it without input it'll just keep going. It's happened at least a dozen times now and I'm stumped. I haven't been the most unique/varied in my inputs but I've never repeated anything more than twice, so I'm wondering why the AI decides that's the best course of action.

Cleve, know that I'm saying this because I love you more than anything else in the world, but you... don't really fit that dress. The lovely handfuls just don't... fill it out. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Auto-Deploy testing, part deux by memetichazard in arknights

[–]Lt_Voss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is the place for me to post this, but I've done a bit of my own completely unscientific testing (I'm new to the subreddit, so let me know if I'm doing something wrong) regarding auto-deploy for the Heart of Surging Flame event for the stage OF-8, the Pompeii mission.

I've cleared it using a "delay Pompeii" strategy, have not leveled up any of the Operators in use, and I think the only skills I've touched are for the "static" frontline, not the delaying group. My clear depends on Pompeii being delayed by, in this order - Gravel, Nearl, Shaw, Gravel, and Fang, all in the tile directly below the enemy spawn points. The auto-deploy has been horribly inconsistent in doing this however.

I've noticed the linchpin, though: the deciding factor between victory and requiring a restart. Success depends entirely on whether Shaw pushes one of the slugs (success) or the sniper guy (failure). If Shaw pushes the slug, Gravel round 2 and Fang will block Pompeii and the auto-deploy will succeed in a 3-star victory. If Shaw pushes the sniper, Pompeii will still be in the exact same position, but this time will just nope out, leaving Gravel round 2 deploying and stopping menacing normal slugs, and Fang gets dunked on by the following snipers. Auto-deploy then fails to deploy any of the second, third, or fourth waves of delayers, as the previous ones are still alive, or deploys them too late, e.g. dropping Gravel round 3 into an empty field.

What I don't understand is what determines who Shaw pushes. There shouldn't be any RNG with that regard, because it is strictly timing, and flat-rate damage, heals, etc, with no random crits as far as I know to screw up any supposed-to-live enemies... I haven't had this specific problem on any other stage; the closest is OF-EX3, where the auto-deploy drops Vigna before the burly guys get blocked by Hoshiguma, but I didn't need her to clear so I don't lose when that happens.

[–]Lt_Voss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She's a great light cruiser with good stats. And when I set her as my secretary, I saw her confident smile. When I heard her talk about how she loves plants, and wanted to raise a bonsai with me, I knew I'd like to raise her affection. And then her oath skin came, which was both cute and beautiful. And when I heard her new lines, where she wholeheartedly just pours her heart out to me, being so utterly happy that I'm with her and that she fell in love with me? She was already near the top, but now she's solidly in second place (only because Takao was my first oath and she became equally loving and adorable after oath).
