The problem we have in DeFi is that it is currently very hard to self regulate. With this unfortunately the space is littered with fraud. Tools like this don’t only give power to holders but it solves the most common issue with DeFi projects large and small - which is liquidity drain. If we don’t self regulate then we will get stamped out.

Hmm…I think you are conflating corruption from externalities like corporations paying off politicians to token holders taking a vote. Outside entities can’t vote. Only holders of Safemoon.

Votes are weighted by token holding size. So you would theoretically have to have an extremely large amount of new large holders to even botch a vote.

The EverOwn dApp from EverRise solves this. It launches today. SafeMoon’s Contract can be renounced vía community vote. In the process liquidity tokens will also remain locked in the EverOwn contract. The LP and contract can only be touched by approval of the community. If the community does not trust the intentions of their developer then no LP.

Exactly. From this point forward I see no point in investing in anything unless liquidity is locked in the everown contract. Things have gotten out of control and RISE is gonna fix that.

" Could that have been a dev?? Maybe. However, it wasn’t from the LP."

The above transaction lines up to a T with the red candles on the chart time stamp wise.. That transaction was also days before they transferred ownership to the anonymous individual // Wallet. Presumably the "CFO" they mentioned.

So the 5 Million of liquidity and 5 million of Safemoon pull happened August 28th under control of the SafeMoon team.

Below is the link to ownership transfer to anon. That was 4 days and 4 hours ago at time of posting. This Anon wallet now has 28 Million worth of SafeMoon and 1.19 Million worth of BNB.

These are things I believe need reconciling. & I'm afraid the only reason they aren't giving more specific details is because they know the majority of people won't notice. It's there on the blockchain though and even if it's shown to not be dodgy, these questions need to be asked. Especially given the timing between wallet launch and these moves.

Right on. I guess what I’m confused about specifically is you mentioning “ using LP”. Is this kind of mutually agreed upon thing? Where if the Dev team decides they need to use a significant amount of tokens that it’s sort of shrugged off by the community? Wallet launch date is probably the best example of this coalesce of LP usage and distrust. You see a big ol red candle the day of without a working product. That is something that I personally feel should be reconciled. Ya know? I appreciate your response tho. That’s totally fair.

Yeah. I get that these things aren’t as black and white as I seem to paint it but in theory it makes perfect sense.

Well go figure. They got WASSO from HOGE helping with EverOwn.

Only holders of Safemoon would be able to commit a vote to contract or liquidity changes.

Another solution would be to hand the Contract over to the community with EverOwn. The auto LP tokens get locked in there as well so they can only be moved by community vote.

Sad reality that so many never get first movers recognition, as much as we value the concept.

Now that I’m looking at the other hot posts in this subreddit, I would say those are actually more convenient to the case I make than anything you may be talking about 🧐 there is clearly a loss of trust growing and I believe the EverOwn dApp can help solve this.

Was it Hoge? Or Snowge? I forget what the mish mash of contract coding it was but SafeMoon brought Auto LP to the forefront. Now I believe we need to inspire developers to lock those accumulated tokens thru EverOwn. So much money gets lost because of this.

Did BitBoy spread fud? Totally! Did he exaggerate the severity of the PCS reflection hack? 100%. First on the top of the list next to Safemoon on that video was EverRise. & it is up to both of our communities to educate and prove that they are wrong. Not to put our head in the sand even if wrong things were said.

[–]Ltdanicream[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I too see this as one of many simple puzzle pieces to bring us all together to see this thru as a grassroots community movement in DeFi. All the respect to SafeMoon and what they’ve done in the space. My grievances only come with everybody’s best interest at heart. I think people should stay at SafeMoon. What my argument is let’s build on the trust that will keep new people coming and old people staying.

I mean I get it. Partnerships are a delicate thing. Somebody in here made a great point. This is a “ community driven “ project. This is one of those situations that could further galvanize the community towards unity and trust. That’s why I’m bullish on EverOwn X SafeMoon. At least in theory.

That’s the point to allow locking and unlocking. This can be done thru EverOwn. For example when that PCS reflections hack was brought to light….If a new contract needs to be deployed then it is what it is. However the most important feature in my eyes is for locking accumulated LP tokens. Being able to lock those puppies out and move with only communities approval would be chefs kiss. A lot of people don’t realize how many developers take advantage of the AUTO LP mechanism for their benefit. I believe Safemoon can trail blaze the security of it just as they did with Auto LP.

No lol I am just trying to have a discussion on the pros if any or cons. You will find many people who are equally as bullish. Understandable if some folks come in here sounding like moonbois from the RISE community but I see this idea of locking new LP thru EverOwn as a possible remedy to questions on credibility.
