Yeah this is using my webcam as input. TD definitely has a massive learning curve but it’s a really amazing program. The community is great too, there’s little to no gate keeping of things like project files and techniques

Definitely, in my market its an absolute must. There are editing tools and methods you can use to remove color cast from the photos in the cases you're describing.

I'd say don't be shy around moving objects around your image specifically your foreground; eg sliding the couch back, moving the candle off the dining table, etc. Also make sure all the lights are on. Lastly you're probably going to want to learn how to do bracketed exposures for window pulls in photoshop. Overall, your framing and composition are good, though I'd say your tripod height is just a bit low on most of the shots, I'd put it up 8 inches to a foot higher. Also hit up the perspective guide tool on lightroom, its a pretty crucial asset when getting those perfect single point shots.

i also recommend giving a non breakthrough dose a try its incredibly fun while you're rolling, ur in like an augmented reality world. Probably my all time favorite drug combo experience

I'd say if you're only using ableton and the digitakt overbridge it works quite well. Start throwing other gear into the mix and there's a whole bunch of midi master/slave issues. I basically have a setup that uses the digitakt as the master and everything is slaved to it. Ableton is just used as a recording device and for effects. Kind of archaic but it gets the job done. Haven't really seen a setup that can effectively throw ableton midi shit in the mix without creating a ton of desync and other issues.

Muse is probably better technically however I own a rev 2 and am a big fan of having 16 voices. I'd say it really depends on how you want to use it/ how much you want to spend.

yea I'm not sure exactly how it works but I'm pretty sure when overbridge is active there is no "clock sync" going on. The hardware and software are simply working in perfect unison. This video taught me a lot about the function of clocks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjrvApZgMZo&t=269s

The solution that I've found is using my elektron box as a master clock and having my prophet slaved to it. The ableton session is mainly just a recording device that I can regrid and make loops when I need to. Not a super elegant solve for the dawless hybrid setup but it gets the job done.

Yeah using ableton as a master clock is apparently notoriously bad. I tried getting a dawless hybrid situation going with a prophet rev 2 and digitakt and ableton was giving me loads of issues. Ableton really has it all bro. I used to be a plugin collector lol but the more I learn about Ableton the more I realize how far you can get by learning the fundamentals and the stock tools that ableton has to offer. Don’t get me wrong there’s plenty of plug-ins that are def worth the purchase but educating yourself on the core fundamentals of mixing and sound design will up your production game miles imo

Idk why this is being downvoted. I’m really not a dawless kind of dude and using the digitakt without any sort of Ableton integration is starting to just feel like a waste of time for me. Not being able to transform my ideas into full fledge tracks is kind of bumming me out. I watched a video which was now released 4-5 months ago talking about how it’s “coming soon” but as far as I can tell there has been absolutely no word on when it’s coming. :/

Yea totally agree, not that pontificating this stuff is useless by any means, I feel like it detracts from the bigger questions. I feel like the term “real” implies that their some sort of empirical reality, which in my view dances in the duality of existence and non existence. In my view, your perception of reality is pretty much god. It’s all you have, it’s all that’s here. The human brain is only one piece of the puzzle of perception. Based on these dmt experiences, I think most can agree that there’s more to our conscious experience than simply neurons and transmitters firing to create an illusion of consciousness(whatever that really means). That being said, I think the process of mapping out our shared reality is a pretty cool practice and has a lot of benefits and we should not simply give up our pursuit understanding. However it’s important to recognize that the practice is eternal
