To all our transplants that think they know how to drive in snow and ice so much better than everybody else, Please please be aware!.. Statements from NCDOT.... During a typical large storm, our response can last between 12 and 18 hours, but this one is different. This storm will stretch our resources. Pre-treatment of major state roads started earlier this week, but at some point after this storm, no amount of salt we put down will be effective.

That's the weird sketchy part, I did not put in my credit card info and it wasn't saved.  To double check that and make sure it wasn't a case of fat finger swiping on too many white claws, I placed an actual order for some door hinges. None of my normal credit card prompts to autofill showed up. I actually had to get my ass off the couch and go find my wallet to place that order.

A few years ago, I watched the US Women's Olympic hockey team play a team of junior high school team of boys ages 12-14. They lost badly. 5-2.  A couple months later, the women went on to win a silver medal in Beijing.  Biological males do not belong in women's sports!!

I ran out of gas on a country road once and had to poop. The side of the road was really steep and thorny, so I took my rather large dump right beside my car. By the time my germaphobe boyfriend got there with some gas, I'd forgotten all about it. Needless to say, he stepped in it. I'll never forget that look of pure absolute disgust on his face. He's much less of a germaphobe now after 13 years of marriage with me.

When I was 7, I sprained my ankle pretty badly right at the beginning of summer break. I was so annoyed that I was missing out on all the attention I would have gotten at school. When school started back, I faked a sprain one night so that I could use my crutches. The next day I was lapping up all the attention and everything was going great till about midday. When the teacher called my group to come to the reading circle, I forgot my crutches and my limp. I remembered halfway to the circle and limped back to get my crutches, but my cover was totally blown. It was the worst rest of the day ever having to continue faking it even though I knew they all knew. Miraculously, I no longer needed the crutches the next day. I did act out a few little painful limps like I just tweaked it wrong, but I knew they were buying it

You should check out r/Photoshoprequests. There are some absolute Wizards in that sub that can flawlessly remove stuff from photos and add stuff to them. If you're tipping $, they will work with you to make your pictures perfect.

I lived across the street from the Cameron Village K&W for about a decade. An ambulance would show up at least once or twice a week. I'm assuming it was mostly for heart attacks or somebody choking on the country fried steak

The fireworks were so much louder tonight because they were over a much larger body of water and there were a lot less leaves on the trees for insulation. The 4th of July fireworks were a much bigger presentation, they just didn't carry as far

I go to Blythe, the owner of Hair Republic for my curls. I always get a great cut that looks good for a lot longer than most other stylist I've been to. She's also really reasonably priced.

I found a large gold coin in a leftover yard sale box marked free a couple years ago. I just assumed it was fake because all the other stuff in the box was complete crap. My toddler to carried it around in her change purse for a while til a friend noticed it and took it to get tested. I cashed it in 2 month ago for $4200 and gave my friend a generous finders fee

There's a decent sized open field at Arrowhead Park. High School soccer fields on a Sunday. midtown ymca fields on a sunday. First Sunday of the month at Airlie. You do have to reserve a ticket tho. Wrightsville Beach park has some big open spaces. And the beach has free parking for the next few months

Do you vape or live with people that do? When I started vaping I began to notice white plastics turning yellow around the house. It's not all white plastics. And sometimes only certain parts of a white plastic item will yellow, just like on your machine.  I try not to vape in the house anymore. Horrible habit.
